Tell you i don't mind watching Indy and esp Nembhard when they don't play us, they certainly are giving The Cavs something to think about.

But they are not good for my blood pressure levels when they play us :D

But they still lost to Detroit because they couldn't make stops late in the game.

This is what some of us said when they traded for KAT and that's the Knicks sacrificed their defense for offense.

In fairness:

They traded Randle, who is utter fool's gold, for Towns, who is more of a pyrite/gold blend.

True.

Knicks better off not trading for Bridges and keeping Hartenstein and DiVincenzo.

Brunson, KAT, Anunoby, Hartenstein, and DiVincenzo would have been a better starting 5.

I think they absolutely couldn't pay Hartenstein market rates. I.e., they were in a situation analogous to the old Gilbert Arenas fiasco.

Indeed -- without looking up how long Hartenstein was on the Knicks -- I wouldn't be shocked if the exact problem was that their total salary was too high for them to use the subsequently instituted Gilbert Arenas Exception.

Reason why is they traded for Bridges in the first week of July.

They lost their cap flexibilty when they traded for Bridges.

Right now it's looking like the Knicks are better off having Hartenstein and DiVincenzo instead of Bridges.

Knicks really soft and a little small with Josh Hart or OG at the PF spot.

Pacers are a relentless bunch. Quite athletic too. They never stop moving, it's dizzying to watch. I much prefer watching the Celtics. Easier to track 'cos they just mostly stand around the perimeter lol.

It's usually the opposite.

If the dad is great then the son will not be great.

But if the son is great then the dad must not have been great.

MJ, Shaq, and other great players had sons that couldn't become NBA players.

Dell Curry was just a role player, but his son is the shooting GOAT.

Ohh. Besides what they actually traded for Bridges, they gave up Hartenstein too?

Ouch.

Damn SGA is one **** efficient guard. 32 pts 9asst in 33mins. Shooting 12/15 lol. Now that’s how you win mvp. He’s just too good on the perimeter. Elite shooting and ball handling. Unselfish player too.

No doubt SGA is efficient and great at scoring.

But it's looking like the OKC system is making him look good.

If you look at his assist numbers, it's not on par with being a star PG.

The making his teammates better aspect is lacking.

Most of his highlights is him scoring or making shots.

Guess we'll just have to wait a few months to see if his style will result in a championship.

In the playoffs, opposing teams will be scheming to stop him.

Let's see how he responds.

Luka beat #1 seed OKC last season.

Dallas "limited" SGA to 32 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (+ 3.5 stocks) on 51/55/83 shooting. I don't think there was any issues with the way he was playing. OKC lost because they didn't have a reliable second option (and a couple PJ Washington hot shooting nights). As good as they are, I'm not sure they have solved that issue. Chet Holmgren unfortunately can't stay on the floor and Jalen Williams has a tendency to disappear offensively in big games.

No doubt SGA is an MVP type player.

I'm not saying there's something wrong with him.

But I haven't seen his greatness result in a championship, NBA or international.

In FIBA and Olympics, an SGA led Team Canada, with multiple NBA players, can't get to the championship.

Against Luka and the Mavs, Chet was healthy and SGA was playing great.

But OKC still lost in 6 games.

The making his teammates better aspect of the game seems to be lacking in SGA's game.

Championships is a flawed metric to measure if a player makes his teammates better. Chris Paul has never won one but I've seen him turn DeAndre Jordan who has been pretty much a back up everywhere he has played in the league into an All NBA center. There are many, many other exemples.

Yeah, I don't disagree with the CP3 example.

The only difference is SGA is the #1 option while CP3 will never be the #1 option.

CP3 always had someone he can pass to, like David West in New Orleans and Blake Griffin with the Clippers.

The thing about SGA is he's a PG but he's assist numbers are low if you compare it to other elite PGs.

Even Luka and Lebron have higher assist numbers than SGA.

I just need to see more because my theory is OKC's system is making SGA great and not the other way around.

Let me add that the NBA Cup was supposed to be won by OKC as they were the heavy favorites to beat the Bucks.

But OKC and SGA didn't play well.

The NBA Cup had a playoff atmosphere.

OKC was a disappointment.

I know the NBA Cup is not the NBA Finals, but there was pressure to win the Cup.

A little pressure and OKC folded like a cheap tent.

Interesting.

I am now even more convinced sportswriters/analysts read these Forums. Less than 24 hours after these posts I read an article on how the Knicks are playing Their starters tops in the NBA. Coincidence perhaps but doubt it.

Meanwhile Denver looks horrible without Jokic.

J Hart actually played 49 minutes tonight and J Brunson - Bridges - Anunoby - around 45 each.. No KAT tonight.
