Yea, they only turn the ball over 18 times.

Anyways, Good games guys. Good luck for the rest of the season and the Playoffs.

I know this kind of talk happens in the game thread frequently, but c'mon, let's not whine about ref calls on the opposing team's board. I'm sure many on here will go the other way on that one. Fans LOVE to overplay that hand.

I hope the two teams do meet in the playoffs so the C's can kick a mudhole in the Raptors asses...if your sorry asses can make the playoffs. Hows that for cockiness. 8)

Take that **** to your board and give orders not here bud. 8)

Furthermore, this series was a hair away from being tied. Yep big bad Celts are very beatable and we are still missing one of our biggest pieces. When Dixon ran our offence we got hit hard and it kept you guys in the game. TJ in the game, this one would have been a blowout!

Hey guys, raptor fan here, sorry for the disrespectful posters.
Good game, also shows there's lots we need to improve. We have no chance in a 7 game series against you guys with the defence and rebounding we displayed tonight. I really hope we play you guys again because it means we advanced in the playoffs.

I know that the Raptors shot an uncharacteristic FG% especially from 3, but we also turned the ball over an uncharacteristic number of times, if that means anything. Bosh was also quite poor, but that might be from overplaying him, which may explain the higher than normal 3PT%.

Just figure that I would mention some counter-excuses to some of the things that Boston fans seem to be mentioning after this loss.

Games like this don't count, when one or the other team shoots at a ridiculous percentage for a night. This was like the first Detroit game, that we lost in the last second. Detroit would not even have been in that game except for their spectacular shooting. Next game they came back to earth, and we won.

The reason games like this don't count is that they don't tell you much about your team. Nobody can sustain shooting like that over the course of a series.

So, I'm happy for the Toronto fans, but it's kind of hard to take this game as a shot across the bow or anything like that. Win a couple of tough ones, when you're playing your normal game, and we'll talk.

Wonderful. Now you can sleep well tonight with your head outside the oven. May want to save a copy of this game to watch over and over again, it'll save you the trouble of having to wash the tear stains from your pillow, since you now have something to be proud of.

hmph that was a crazy game. Good for the Raps for coming through and not bowing out like they could of many times throughout the game.

Rondo's not perfect so he's entitled to have a bad game.

At least we won't have to face Toronto again this year so this is the last time we have to listen to there fans in our gamethread.

I really do hope CB4 saves his head though or something, that haircut is annoying!

You missed his point. Raptors are #1 or #2 in the league for fewest turnovers. The Raps won because their shooting was on. But the Celtics would have been blown out tonight if the Raps didn't uncharacteristically turn over the ball so many times. It balanced out.

The Celtics are not as good as their record. The Raps not as bad as theirs. Still lots of season to play. Too bad no more regular season games to watch against the C's - cya in the playoffs!

You know what's a real shame. The best rap fan to ever post on this board (sarah) didn't post. I really think we should have an embassy of raps fans (sarah42, peteyjones, peralta, and terryoh would be my picks) that can come on this board and speak for raps nation so we don't have to deal with the rest of them.

Likewise, the Raptors would have been blown out (you know, like the other day) had the Celtics played the level of defense they are used to.

We are in agreement here. Both teams are basically even

enough with the what ifs, if every team played the same way every game basketball would be boring. Raps were hot from the field and made the upset thats what makes basketball fun to watch

This is a well-reasoned out post. I will add, as an addendum, that the Raptors average the 2nd fewest turnovers per game in the NBA, so 18 turnovers and numerous points from those TOs were extremely uncharacteristic of us. I won't say let's call it even, but I think the game would have been pretty close if our TOs and 3pFG% came back to reality.

A good game nonetheless.

Yes, it is weird. I would counter though that the turnovers would have more to do with the Celtics defense then Torontian miss cues.

As evidence I would use the first three games where you didn't do so well in turnovers or shooting %.

I agree though, I remeber last game there was some hot chick posting to start off the thread from Cananda and that was the first time I was aware that such a thing exsisted up there.

I WANT TO SEE MORE HOT CANADIAN CHICKS POSTING!!!!

look at it this way. celtics shot 20 more shots then the raps and they still couldn't beat them.

Really missed Posey's defense tonight. That said, the Raps were just on fire and we did a piss-poor job defending the perimeter. Congrats on the win and the many fans that have shown class, but to the trolls I wouldn't go bragging about this one.

One thing I've mentioned before and I'll mention again: Doc HAS to learn how to ride a player's momentum. Tony Allen scores 14 in what seems like just a few minutes, and is then pulled for a cold-shooting Ray Allen. We make a nice run with Davis in there, then next thing you know he's gone. I don't know if it's part politics or what, but it's driving me nuts. If it works, stick with it!
