Re: Welcome to our SL team, Tacko Fall!
Can't blame Tacko for the hideous Summer League loss.
Will blame the players on the team who think they can throw the ball in traffic to a running Tacko.
Would not mind if both Waters and Strus were out.
Why would someone want a miniature, brick-laying point guard on a two-way instead of 7-7 Tacko when the team already has four point guards on the main roster?
Why would a shooting guard be on a two-way instead of Tacko when half the roster is a shooting guard, including three recent lotto picks.
Not saying those guards don't have ability, but 7-7 is unique ability.
Waters 1 for 10 from 3?
Tacko 6 minutes?
As the team has no chance of winning, the Ainge Cartel has set up that fact unfortunately, at least have a 7-7 guy there for the fans.

Re: Welcome to our SL team, Tacko Fall!
I tend to think Tacko's playing minutes were limited either because 1) They will cut him and they want his popularity to wane a bit before they do to manage possible backlash or 2) They decided to sign him on a deal so they are taking him out to minimize injuries.

If they don't sign him, they are morons.
This kid just started playing basketball a few years ago, and is dominant both defensively and offensively.
Some team will sign him, and he will average 10pts/8rbd/2.5blk

Exactly! Waters is 5’11, we don’t need another undersized point guard in our roster. We already have 6’1 kemba, 6’1 edwards. It’s not like they would get the playing time with brad. At least with tacko, we can have someone to root for, and would definitely be a fan favorite. Even if he only plays on garbage time.

Tremont Waters is a two-way player. He's going to play in like 2 games this year for a total of 56 minutes. Game 82 he'll play the entire game and then some random Game in January when half the team has the flu they'll play him for 8 minutes.

If they decide to keep Struss over Tacko I’ll really be disappointed. There is nothing special about Struss, I can find you 15 Strusses if you gave me a week. I cant find another Tacko. Even if there is a 1% chance he becomes something, you keep him. Especially with the need at C.

Exactly what i have been saying. If we let him go, some team would pick him up, and id be pissed if he turns out to be useful with them. Lets give him the final roster spot and let him develop in the g league. We could use him on spot match ups especially defensively.

James Young, Nader and Yabs. All players we signed, drafted and spent time trying to develop for no return.
I dont get why we wouldn't take a flyer on this guy considering the time spent trying to develop the above mentioned. Low risk min deal. Time will tell.

Hope they don't waive him but if they do plenty of teams will grab him.

Taco Fall
Danny Ainge has done it again; he has found a player that can help the Celtics and has a high IQ for the game. He brings no drama or other issues. He reminds me of a young Roy Hibbert. Danny Ainge needs to have someone like Bill Russell to teach him fundamentals that are required to perform at the professional level. He needs a drill instructor to bring him up to the professional quickly. Please comment thank you.

To be fair water needs to be two way or on roster. His defense is amazing. Like a 5 11 smart. He is no IT. His offense seemed really good to. I can see him being our third pg sooner than later. TACKO should get 15 the spot or two way over strus

You really have to wonder about the management of the Celtics if they don't sign him and play him some.

Man, I just listened to this. The guy is very bright and just broke down the Celtics management team and he makes a lot of sense and brings things to light.
He goes hard at Danny and Brad and to some degree, Wyc. He really explains Danny and Brad’s mentality about drafted undersized players.
He does go a little overboard questioning Brad’s manhood.
It basically turns into a rant about not playing Tacko much in yesterday’s game. He might be overreacting but if Tacko doesn’t make this team, then I pretty much agree with most of what he says.
I know it’s SL, but it seemed like the Celtics had no interest in winning yesterday’s game. It was poor coaching and that Celtic SL coach was out coached in a big way.
That Struss signing before SL began was a joke. Resigning Wannamaker was very questionable. However cutting Yabs was the right thing to do.
I just don’t get how the Celtics were playing that ex Louisville player so much and sitting Tacko. Just didn’t seem right but it was one game. However I don’t think Tacko player more than 15 minutes in any of the SL games and he is very capable of playing 25 plus minutes in a game.
He makes good points but goes a little over board, especially talking about Brad kissing Kyrie’s ass. They all had to kiss Kyrie’s ass because he was on the last year of his contract and wanted to please him any way they could.
But overall, great insight on Danny and Brad’s philosophy. Basically all these guys are all yes man people to Danny. He nails it with the lack of world philosophy and how they are based on guards and small players like the Hoosiers movie. That part was funny but true.
I will give Danny and Brad the benefit of the doubt because they were the only team that brought in Tacko. But if they don’t give him a contract, everything this guy says is basically all true.

Sorry but we don’t need another undersized pg in our team. You can say what you want about his defense, but being 5’11 alone would make him a liability. There are a bunch of pg’s much better and bigger than waters that we can have for cheap. If we can’t give tacko the final roster spot, better give him a 2-way contract then.

He averaged 2.8 spg in college last year, and led the celtics in steals per game in the summer league at 2 per game.

Waters did pretty well. -- He's only going to be up against 2nd or 3rd Stringers, anyway.
He doesn't need to be that tall. He also makes up for it, with his prowess.
