What accounts? Im curious.

It' literally all over the internet in any NBA site. They want to re-sign Jerami Grant, insert Sharpe into the lineup at SG because they love him and trade Simons/#3 for an all star SF.

Dame
Sharpe
(all star SF)
Grant
Nurkic

Brown/Bridges are reportedly their top targets. Would consider Siakam too but that means Grant to SF and a little clunky. OG been rumored too but not considered good enough.

Bridges isnt geting traded as per Brooklyn, Siakam is an expirinf and plays the same position as grant and is more ball dominate.

Brown is the perfect target for them.

Honestly, I think Simons and #3 is an underpay too. I would want a future first or at least pick #23 this year as well.

Dame
Sharpe
Brown
Grant
Nurkic

That team makes noise out west.

Simons
Smart
Tatum
??
Timelord

Depending on the ?? is a better team that we have right now.
(looking at PF from draft or by MLE or by trade for the #3)

POR: Brown for 3, Simons
ORL: 3, Brogdon for WCJ, 11, Harris
BOS: WCJ, Simons, 11, Harris for Brown, Brogdon

You would obviously ask for 6 first instead of 11.

Just hope between Rob & WCJ you get one of them available most games...

Tatum is not signed long term. Tatum has 2 years left and can leave in 2025/2026. Tatum can leave 1 year after Brown.

Problem is Brown's contract situation.
I would love to have Bridges on the team.
Good assessment:

I think if we're looking to compete and trade Brown, we should go for FVV/Siakam or Bridges.
Then you find a way to trade Smart and bring in Kessler from the Jazz.

I understand Simons is an up-and-comer, but I don't see him going all that far up, TBH. Slight build, not great size for a wing, okay athleticism. Maybe I need to watch more YouTube highlights.

If they give brown the supermax there better be some conditions re improving ball handling, turnovers, free throw shooting and defense. He was awful in all those areas

Brown gonna be 30 and y'all still gonna be calling him young.

He just completed year 7 and he still can't dribble.

Bingo. regardless, he can be an “elite” player and still a bad fit next to Tatum. Which is certainly a valid argument.

If you think a player doesn't deserve the supermax unless they improve in 4 separate areas, what you do is you don't offer them the supermax.

My concern with re-signing Jaylen is that he becomes untradeable once he gets the money. He has a bad knee that's not getting better. His bbiq hasn't improved in 7 years.

But if you're trying to compete right now you probably aren't getting anyone who can come in and replace what he does. Maybe if you think he's an A- and you could get two or three B to B+ guys for him then you could work something out. Like if Brooklyn wanted to consolidate and you could get Bridges and Claxton or something. Maybe a three way that ends up with Jaylen in Atlanta and the Celtics get Collins, Bogi, and a piece from another team.

Maybe you do Brown for Simons and #3 and then flip #3 to someone else for a win now piece.

Siakam seems like the most plausible replacement for Brown because he has one year left on his deal too. However, just can't see JB getting dealt with Tatum wanting JB back...

The bigger problem is Joe and the excessive reliance on 3's.

Going to be a very difficult off season, and hard to pin point any specific priorities. I think you really need to start considering relegating Al to the bench. He had some moments but another year on his body is not going to be a great thing.

The front court is extremely weak. If you can work out a 3 team deal to get Siakam I think that’s a move worth considering.

Marcus should also lose his spot to White. I’m okay with not bring in a “real” PG as long as DW is the starting PG. He was honestly diming big time when Marcus was out mid season.

Then you still don’t really have a reliable #3. Brogdon was supposed to be that guy, but saw reduced minutes the entire year, and is contemplating surgery on his shooting arm. Not great.

I like his game here. I think if they get in on some iteration of the BOS/POR/TOR stuff we've been saying where POR sends out #3/Simons for Brown and we get back Siakam, that we should be very open to expanding those talks to bring Simons back. He'd be a good second perimeter shot creator. I'm not saying he projects to be a future all star or anything, but that's a guy who can score and shoot.

Reminder that Tatum telling a reporter in a press conference that he wants Jaylen signed to an extension doesn't mean ****. What the **** is he gonna say lmao, "trade this bum for Claxton and Bridges!" "Jaylen needs to learn to **** dribble!" Press conference answers are pure noise.

Siakam seems like a lateral move for an older player

Players are not fungible assets. Even if you might "value" them at a similar price range, they do different things. Because of the things Jaylen Brown does well (B-list on-ball scoring) and does not do well (everything else), he is uniquely unsuited to a team with championship aspirations.

This team needs a Siakam or a Draymond Green. Someone who can play the 4 and has won a title before. I don't particularly care that Siakam isn't Ray Allen from 3 point land, but the Celtics probably will.

We need a coach on the floor. I hope Chris Paul gets bought out. He's exactly what we need in a pinch hitter like scenario in crunch time.
