2 plays where a grizzlies big scored over him in the paint, but no big deal. He played solid D on those plays. Sometimes guys just make tough, contested shots..jeesh

Nah, he looked bad, 4th string center bad.

Disagree.

Also, it's ridiculous to draw such a conclusion based on 5 mins of playing time..especially in sumemr league, considering historically summer league is a poor indicator for how good these guys will be in the NBA.

Unless you think Mfiondu Kabengele is better than Wembanyama..

It's all we have at the moment, the all important first game of the summer league.

I want to see Coward. Is he injured, or not in MEM rotation today?

Meh.

Kalkbrenner was a prototypical Steven Big East guy, decent from 3, and could protect the rim. I have no idea why he traded out for an extra 2nd, only to pick a slow footed big that can't shoot, when this team desperately needed the front court help immediately.

Amari just ran the floor and dunked it in transition. Kalkbrenner would have still been back at the half court line.

Mhm, everyone said the same thing about Kornet too...

I hope Amari does well obviously, but means little when a big's only skill set is running in transition and the occasional pass.

This year's Noah Vonleh?

Celtics need another big. The chances of Queta and Garza not getting into foul trouble is slim to none

Shhhhhh… #1 pick even though they’re trying to win every game :D

Is there anything more important?

LOfton, rough start..yikes. He not only has to lose like 50 lbs but he is making bad passes and missing lots of shots near the hoop too. Might have to go back to China

Too bad Hugo can't shoot to save his life at the moment...

He'll be fine. 1/2 on 3s so far today. Tied in leading the team with 10 points so far. (Oops, sorry: misread +/- as points)

But I think it looks less uncomfortable. A couple of good slams at the basket.

I've seen enough, give Bassey a two-way.

It's all we have at the moment, the all important first game of the summer league.

Amari Williams played 5 years of college ball. Last season he played in the toughest conference in college basketball. Defended Cooper Flagg - his team won that game..played against the national champs Florida..

This is definitely not all we've got.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Lofton is like a poor man's Jared Sullinger.

G-League bound.

Lofton is a freight-train.
He doesn't belong on an NBA court.

I think he's messing around here now because he and his agent know he's got a real chance to play, not to do a 2-way.

Return to Boston Celtics
