Red Claws won over Windy City Bulls, 117-106. Mickey added 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks and was a team-high plus-23.

In the NBA, Nader's role would be to shoot 3s, defend, and chip in a little all-around game (rebounding, pass when necessary, score off cuts and attacking closeouts).

Right now it looks like he can hit the 3s. He is shooting .373 from distance and that includes pulling up which he won't do in the NBA. I think it's fair to assume he can attack closeouts or not turn the ball over based on watching him play in the NBADL and summer leagues. He's comfortable with the ball.

The remaining boxes to be checked: rebounding, defense, and moving off the ball. He's grabbing 10% of total rebounds which is meh for a forward in the D league, and he didn't rebound in SL or in college. And lord knows no one is playing defense down there.

Even if you think these guys aren't going to end up being anything great in the NBA, one thing you can't deny is that all of them have stepped up to the plate and PERFORMED in their respective B leagues. That's a great sign. It's tough to tell how this play will translate to the NBA, where quickness and length and strength are way more prevalent. Out of all the "kids" I really think Nader is the sleeper of the group. But I'm also very excited about Yabu and slightly below him Zizic. And don't sleep on Jackson, he has talent too!

RE: latest Yabusele highlights

One thing I like to look for in highlights involving block shots is to see if the guy uses both their right and left hand to contest shots. While I don't expect him to be any kind of significant shot blocker, I noted that his first block was with his right and second was with the left. Although I will say that he might have been able to actually keep the ball in play if he used his left hand on the first one.

The 18 footer was probably my favorite highlight in that mix.
