Would Boston look better with this lineup

Ce - Wiseman
PF - Tatum
SF - Wiggins
SG - J Brown
PG - Kemba

Still would have picks 14-26-30-47 and Grant Williams. R Williams, Theis, R Langford .

could easily trade up again, or draft a PG or even offer Rondo a deal..

Not saying I/Boston/GS would make this trade, just some food for thought.

Smart and Hayward for #2 and Wiggins isn’t great value at all. You’re now paying Wiggins a max deal for a few more years whereas Hayward is an expiring. Does nothing to help the cap situation.

Even without considering the salaries, Smart and Hayward are easily more valuable than Wiseman and Wiggins.

I would love to trade up and get Wiseman though. Maybe Smart and another first for #2? Don’t think GSW would bite on that but maybe they throw Wiggins in? That also puts us in cap hell lol.

I think they are capped out, so would need to trade = salaries.

Take Wiggins & trade him at the deadline next season.

Hayward to Minnesota = for the overall #1 Pick.
Make whatever other necessary arrangements.

Hayward & the #14 pick. We’ll take whoever they want off their roster.

Doesn't make sense for the Wolves. Hayward can just leave and join a real contender the following season.

Yeah that’s the problem isn’t it. You’d need him to recommit which would be hard considering they probably still wouldn’t be a top contender & Minneapolis isn’t exactly a free agents ‘destination’.

What I wonder is if Minnesota have much choice ? With what’s said to be a pretty ‘weak’ draft I wonder if they have much options ? I can’t see any contending teams giving away their star player in exchange for the #1 pick. They might be able to grab Beal but I have a feeling Washington will want a little more than just the pick.

Hayward is the exact type of player they need though.

They might want someone with at least two years left in their contract. The way they did with Butler.

Chris Paul, John Wall, Blake Griffin, Kevin Love, Aaron Gordon, Jrue Holiday are some other players that could be in play from teams that would want that #1 pick.

If I'm the Blazers, I might even think of finally breaking up the Dame-CJ pairing and sell off McCollum.

This is also why I'd prefer convincing Hayward to opt out and re-structuring his contract (if this is on the table). You get better return with more years left. Cs have the option to hold on to him or trade him &/or Kemba the following season.

I like it. But, I don't like anyone on their team, that's not a free agent.

Hayward could help their team. But again, we don't need anybody on their team, that isn't a free agent.
Looks like we need a 3rd team to facilitate this?

I would offer Hayward for Wiggins and 2 if ainge tihnks Wiseman is good, I would add 26 and 30 if need be. I would also do Smart +14 for 2 and then package 26 30 and 47 to move up and get a PG in the late teens.

I think this is our last chance for a long time to add young all star level talent.

I'm just dabbling with this stuff. But, can we actually get away with this?
We'd end up with a jumbo TPE, which Danny does tend to use.

The Knicks are said to want to trade down from 8 to the late lottery, with their ideal extra return being an already-drafted player on a rookie-scale deal. I can't see giving them Romeo, Grant or Timelord to move up. But their choice(s) of Semi/Carsen/Tremont/Javonte, plus one of 26/30? Sure. Or perhaps a future well-protected pick instead, especially if they help thin our roster crunch now.

https://nypost.com/2020/10/12/knicks-seriously-considering-trading-down-in-2020-nba-draft/

Note also that some of our assets might help them complete some other deal with some other team(s).

Mad overpay for the #1 this season. Smart is maddening, but he is almost enough alone for the #1 (probably some homer in that statement)

If this is even in play, I think we have to do it.

Kemba (can be flipped later on), #1, #2, Brown, Tatum, Williamses, Langford. Then possibly a major FA if we have cap space post-Kemba.
