This doc, brad or joe doesn't play rookies BS needs to end. The goal is winning basketball games. Hugo out there because helps us win.
If he doesn't help us win, then he sits. This fanbase is in such "let's get value for our picks and trade the
".
Listen, Hugo doesn't even have an nba offensive game yet. We dint even know what kind of player he is offensively, and he is still being a helpful player. Dude just a hooper. Wait until he develops and offensive game.

Re: Welcome to Boston, Hugo Gonzalez!
The Thunder are currently forcing 17.9 turnovers per 100 possessions, good for best in league. They are best at forcing turnovers with Isaiah Joe on the court, 19.5 per 100.
We currently rank 11th, at 15.1 turnovers. But with Hugo on the floor, we are forcing 19.8 turnovers. While he is on the bench, we only force 13.9 turnovers, which would otherwise be good for 23rd league wide. His net rating on defense is now -11.5, edging out Queta who had been dominating that category.
But his percentages have also been solid and our offense has been feeding off of his defense.
One more reason it is going to make sense to trade Simons, is we would seem to be better off starting Jaylen at the 2, it makes us longer and more athletic and it frees up more minutes for Hugo.

Re: Welcome to Boston, Hugo Gonzalez!
Now in all seriousness he would be perfect to START alongside Brown and Tatum when he is back.
MInott can be the back up.
You should Attach walsh to some more assets and get either a PF or Center, you are a bit thin there.

It's good to have a 19 year old star again.

He has an offensive game, we haven't seen it yet. There are signs of that. The way he fakes a 3 and drives to the basket. He way he can finish with his left hand. Right now, he is being asked mainly to play defense and play hard and bring that energy. We will see more of his offense down the line.
With that being said, his offense will continue to develop and improve. He will also get bigger and stronger in a few years. At 19, he already has the size for his position.
Here are signs of his offense before Hugo came to Boston.

Joe hates rookies. Brad can't draft. European players taken outside of the top 20 picks suck. Hugo can't shoot.
A lot of narratives are getting proven wrong this season.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Re: Welcome to Boston, Hugo Gonzalez!
It's a case of Joe wants you to earn your keep.
Joe does not have a culture of you need to play the young guys so that they will develop.
Just because fans want to see the young guys play, it doesn't mean Joe has to oblige.
Most of us wanted to see Baylor play in his rookie year.
But it took time before we saw Baylor play later that season.
I think there's a process in which new Celtic players go through before they get to play.
Maybe what the player shows in practice is what determines whether he plays or not.
Hugo is one of the rare cases where he's already getting significant minutes even though he's a rookie.

You responded with a lot and hard to reply at this moment since i'm running around with my phone. But I still feel one of the biggest things we could have used last year other than a healthy K. P was having the type of player who can make that all around impact without even needing the ball. Hugo is like an automatic Energizer, not just for himself But the whole team and I absolutely do believe. He could have got rotation minutes even if you just cut every rotation's players minutes two minutes each. So 14 minutes Hugo guarding The other teams best player alone would have helped energize a team That was very lathogic most of the year.
Joe played Scheierman a ton down the stretch last year. Gotta look at whole situation. We had a deep and loaded rotation last year and we were in contention for the #1 seed. Once CLE pulled ahead late, Joe appropriately played the 1st round rookie more to get him some run. If hypothetically Hugo was on the team last year I’m sure he would have done the same.
Playing rico a ton last year seems greatly exaggerated.
A ton is a matter of semantics but here are his 24-25 game logs, if you scroll down to the end of the regular season you'll see he did in fact play a lot of basketball.

The guy who wrote Hugo's nbadraft.net capsule should be on our staff, this couldn't have been more accurate.
Strengths: Strong, physical wing with solid positional size and impressive athleticism for a perimeter player … Possesses good length, lateral agility and a strong frame that allows him to play through contact and compete at a high level … Explosive in transition and shows quick elevation off the floor. .. Moves fluidly for his size and runs the floor well … Plays with energy and purpose… Offensively, he excels in transition and finishing at the rim … Shows good explosiveness in the open floor and can elevate above the rim with ease … Has shown the ability to thrive alongside high-usage teammates … Plays within his role and rarely forces the action … Makes the right reads and understands spacing … High basketball IQ and understanding of team concepts… Comes from a winning culture at Real Madrid and has played meaningful minutes in both the ACB and EuroLeague … Brings toughness and competitiveness on the defensive end … Shows a high motor and competes hard on every possession … One of the better perimeter defenders of his generation … Has quick feet, active hands, and a strong frame that allows him to guard 1-through-4 at the international level … Shows strong anticipation in passing lanes and does a good job disrupting opponents’ rhythm … Possesses good defensive instincts and consistently impacts the game on that end…

It also needs to be mentioned that Ime Udoka never gave Payton Pritchard a fair go/quality minutes but Joe has always believed in him and he has flourished since Mazz has been coach.
Most other teams would love to have Mazz as coach.

Hugo's the Celtic playing more than 20 minutes on the season with the highest on/off +/- at 19.6.
#2 is Neemi at 9.4 and #3 is DWhite at 4.8.

Agreed.
I’m not sure exactly his point but it seems potentially positive.
