Not sure why Bennett didn't play much. He's only done 7 mins, and scored 1-2, from 3.

A couple of boards and a +6 in those 7 minutes, too.

And wow-- J Bird played 39 minutes, going 12-17, including 4-7 from the 3, for 30 points and 7 boards, 3 assists and +19.

If ever there were raw clay for Stevens to optimize as an NBA basketball player, it is Bennett. Get him bought in and playing hard on D and he's a great two-way bench player for the big club.

We can sign him to a Two-Way, by Jan 15.

Give us some more time to work with him.

It’s not been about willingness to learn either. Bennett literally can’t remember rotations and assignments. That’s why he never ends up playing much.

He’s just not cut out for what it takes to establish yourself as a player in this league. A total liability defensively who isn’t talented enough to get the KAT treatment (enough O to excuse D).

It costs nothing to try though, so why not. I’ve seen enough at this stage to not expect much.

Even slow learners in the NBA eventually tend to get it if given enough time. GG is one example.

But inconsistent effort on D has been a knock on him for some time.

Bennett is consistent on D. Consistently terrible.

Bennett is terrible. I would rather bring back Vitor Faverani.

Bennett showed zero passion in the game Sunday. His first defensive play of the game he switches off the ball handler and instead of following his new man into the post decides to guard air. And Lakeland scored an easy two passing to Bennett's wide open man.

Gerald Green made a career for himself in the NBA because he has talent, athleticism and passion. I don't see any of those things in Bennett. Keep in mind Bennett is only 6'8" (and that could be a stretch), fat and lack motivation. Bennett makes Isaiah Thomas look like Kawhi Leonard on the defensive end. Adriane Payne was the far superior big man this game. Hell, would rather the Celtics call up Devin Williams than Bennett.

Bennett also runs like a girl.

Really hope he makes the regular season roster next year. For me, he has more NBA potential than Abdel Nader: better shooter, better quickness, better defender, better overall athleticism. And he plays the 2, where we have a bigger need than the 3.

what are we going to do with French Sully? He does well in the minor leagues but can't seem to do anything right when he gets in a real NBA game. I still think he looks fat and out of shape. He appears to be a decent rebounder but his shooting is awful and he's foul prone.

My expectations are extremely low for him. I'd need about 10-1 odds to lay $100 that he's still in the league in three years.

Should we sign Bird to a team contract and cancel his 2 way and use it on Bennett ?
