Lol, if they permaed Cave over calling someone a sexist Neanderthal, I can't see myself making it through this year alive. I'll try my best but seems doubtful.

Have most of the numbers/contact info of the cool people here but if you don't have my digits and want them, please PM me as soon as possible, lol.

Random note on the Sixers: Brett needs to be released immediately. Redick was a more functional and effective coach for the Sixers this post season (dude was amazing for them on the sidelines). I honestly see JJ in a HC or GM role down the line. Great basketball mind.

We'll see if we can make it through the summer......

I behave well but no more cave is really bad news.

The founder of the Knicks scenario too btw. :(

This gives me a bad feeling about the offseason too without cave around. How can we discuss the in's and out's of this team without him giving his sarcastic witty responses?

Absolutely disgusting. As a woman he was sticking up for women and he gets banned for calling out people? People here can't handle a debate?

He's one of the best posters here in terms of knowledge of the game.

This is terrible news. :noway:

I'll be honest. I struggle with Cave sometimes. He is a great poster in terms of what he says and I certainly support what he was saying in that conversation. But in terms of how he says things...he can be a real **** to other posters. A lot. I think the timing of the ban was unfortunate, but I don't think it was undeserved overall. My two cents.

He knew more about basketball than anyone else on this subforum imo.

Told us about KD's interest in GS months before any media/other insiders picked up on anything.

Had Curry as a future all time player before anyone else in the media or otherwise.

David Lee debates were a classic.

He will be more than missed but such is life. The mods will do what they apparently have to. Cave probably doesn't even care. We will sail on in our rotting, ass waterlogged ship that is this subforum.

It has to be hard.

He always said last year, never stop believing in the Patriots......Brady is a sociopath in the playoffs.

And yes truth, you got to take on a bigger leadership role now.

And we sit in the rotting ship that is this forum, like the Celtics future championship chances.

Yup.

Still wondering when this forum hits the 21st century and actually makes all official users use a real, non-free email.

It's not like that would solve their burner account issue.  . Good lord. And yeah, whatever mod reading this wants to steal this idea and take it to Howard feel free. I don't need credit and that dude never listens to me. Glad to help though. You're welcome.

It actually amuses me that anyone would have had a single issue with Cave in the end. If you did, you aren't as smart as you think you are.

He was one of the easier people here to get along with.

This is where we began me and writebloc on one side and him on the other and I was not a fan at first. But we both ended up taking a beating and afterward I acknowledged that he was right in that instance. He was extremely gracious and we have been nothing but friends since. Some posters would rather rub his nose in it than admit being wrong. That's just board politics. Logic and reason on this board took a loss today.

What the hell, I come in here to see Cave got banned? That's weak man. Does anyone have that big an issue with him ******** on people?

He is far too good a poster to ban over harmless back and forth. And he was right anyways, Vipers posts were garbage.

It took a pretty hard L, yeah. Pretty bad look for the forum too as far as our general culture goes. Not sure I'd be interested in joining if I was a woman lurking this thread.

I honestly thought we cared more about that stuff here (again, Mang is our leader) but this is a forum that doesn't have p****y on the language filter, maybe I was just being naive. I did barely see Mang around this year.

I first started lurking this board around the time of the David Lee trade.... I remember seeing the passionate back and forths about David Lee and he obviously turned out to be right. I remember think Jesus this guy is going hard but he was passionate and I respected his abrasive but very knowledgeable stances.

Also remember wasting way toooooooo much time around July 4th in 2016 refreshing this page and just hoping for any kernel of info about what KD would do and what our chances were. I was hooked- my gf and I were on vacation and I was glued to the ipad/phone and she was getting pissed ( she gets is now this was our begining before she knew how much I love the c’s) but I remember this guy being adamant that he was going to the warriors- I said no **** way is he (KD) that lame. **** was I wrong.

He was typing KD to GS was a done deal in such a matter of fact way I wanted to hop through the board and say “dude your full of ****”.   . Boy was I wrong.

I didn't really argue much with him about it, but I thought there was no way KD would leave OKC and ride coattails in GSW after them knocking him out. He called that from the start (in season even) and I thought he was crazy. Whoops...

I was with him on Lee though, always seemed useless and washed to me. :)

Because he wasn't being considered for the HC. Too many people buy the dumbass narrative of the national media regarding all that is LA, NY or whatever. If the morons who buy this theory actually believe it, what is Vogel missing? Would he actually accept a HC position knowing he could be canned for his assistant? Just BS.

Thanks for the concern. Don't care.

Maybe focus on your Warriors. Great win the other night. Hope KD heals up nicely for you guys.

Vintage Splash Brothers the other night. Probably won’t need KD til game 3 of the WCF... if at all.

I hate GS (as you know) but I love watching Houston get embarrassed and exposed by your team every year.

And you may be right about the WCF/Durant. Hope he heals up well/soon regardless.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your squad's season either way.

I disagree tbh....I guess I’m one of the sheep on this issue. I don’t think vogul goes into the job thinking hey “I’m gonna be replaced by an assistant” I think he has a belief in himself that he will have success and it won’t be an issue.

He got fired from the pacers and immediately hired by the magic and the team won less games with him as the coach both seasons than with the team before him and then the magic replace him and make the playoffs immediately.

He’s lucky to get another job this quick without becoming an assistant coach first. I think he was so thirsty for a job and had a belief in his ability as a coach- delusional or not that he was going to agree under most terms. The problem is Lebron will listen to Kidd over him.

Edit; I believe Kidd was considered is my point and part of the reason he wasn’t hired was of domestic violence charges and the appearance again of it being a coach Lebron would be in favor of.
