Butler signing with the heat makes me question this guy’s competitiveness. He still could have gotten big money by waiting it out.

So if a player teams up, he's soft. And if they want to try to lead a team themselves, you question their competitiveness.

Butler is not a superstar. He’s more of a robin. Leonard is a superstar.

He's a superstar caliber player or close to it IMO, but not a superstar caliber talent, and not the perennial MVP caliber player that Kawhi is. And I don't buy into the notion that he is remotely close to being a locker room cancer.

Also, the Heat will have to figure out a sign and trade, and the guy could change his mind before one is in place.

I wonder who's getting the Nets players in all this S&T action? With Kyrie @ $20M, Terry @ $9-10M, we can get Kemba, but only a few mil wiggle room. Not enough for Harris. Maybe CHA is taking him and asking for picks to do so?

Feels to me Kyrie isn't a S&T. We're signing Rozier into cap space so no BYC. Maybe that's why all we can offer Horford is the full MLE. Maybe Nets/Kyrie aren't cooperating.

How do we use cap space and still get MLE? If we sign Terry, then just trade him and take Kemba back into cap space, we're using cap - ie, no MLE, right? Without Kyrie we don't have enough matching salary to S&T for Kemba with just Rozier and Yabu without using cap space. I think Kyrie's gotta be involved and some nets players go somewhere somehow.

Freely willing to admit if I missed something, though.

I don't feel a superstar player would get backdoor swept by the Celtics after losing old Rondo in a playoff series.
