He'd be averaging double digits in scoring on another team. Still times where Smart and Brown wont even look his way when he's open

Feels like only WCT is trying to make FastPP happen.

He’s pretty close to that with us already. He’s currently averaging 9.3 PPG on 50.6% FG and 44.1% 3 PT.

Re: Welcome to Boston, Payton Pritchard!
I’ve never been proven wrong faster than I was here.
Great handle, incredible footwork (feet ALWAYS moving), and great court awareness. Simply knows how to manipulate defenders, knows where his teammates are, but is also confident AF in his own ability to score too. How often does a rookie instill such a sense of calmness when he’s on the floor?
Now maybe he never gets much better than this, but that’s still a home run at the back of the first round at a time when the team desperately needed contributors on the cheap.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Pritchard with Rob on the floor. It occurs to me that Rob dives with no delay when he's setting the screen for Payton. Hoping to see more of that chemistry. And his ability to spot the wings of the high screen is something I'm hoping to see Kemba do a little more tbh.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

A rookie ten games in doesn’t need a nickname, just let Lil PP be Lil PP.

I would be happy to see both Pritchard and Timelord starting with the Jays and Smart if this season is about more internal growth.
Improve the bench and I think the team is better now and in the long term.
I love
Pritchard (Actually ball control, steady hand, runs and offense like a true point guard, sticks his shots, is that "Shooter" the starting lineup needs, better defender than KEmba)
Smart (All nba defense glue guy, secondary playmaker)
Brown (number 2 option, excellent defender, improving passer, can score from all levels)
Tatum (number 1 scorer, excellent defender, great rebounder, clutch)
Time lord (rim running, shotblocking, rebounder with a good enough shot to keep people honest, vertical spacer)

If things go right, that should be the future Celtics core. Fill the bench with vets.

Re: Welcome to Boston, Payton Pritchard!
Was listening to CLNS post game podcast this morning and they said PP could be back for the next game!!! I miss watching this dude and the team needs his play. Most of us had his as our 4th best player before he went down. With Smart out we realllly need him. Here's a fun meme just b/c:

I love this kids poise. A huge key for a smaller guard is to stay calm and keep their dribble alive. As great as IT was in his time here, it always frustrated me that he would pick up his dribble in the paint and trap himself. He’d also leave his feet without having a plan with the ball.

Re: Welcome to Boston, Payton Pritchard!
Pritch is a floor general if i've ever seen one, brings the ball up with pace, initiates the offence early (no unnecessary dribbling), makes the pass and relocates quickly, if he doesn't get the ball back for a shot - more often than not he's hitting the weak side glass for a rebound.
If he gets starter minutes next season I don't think an 18-6-4-2 averages are out of his reach, we've got a good one here ladies and gents

I haven't watched carefully to check whether this is an illusion, but I get the impression Pritchard simply takes more steps than other people do. Part of the reason would be that he's commonly moving around the floor as seems appropriate. But I also suspect he takes faster, shorter steps than somebody else would covering the same ground.
Is this real, or am I just imagining it?
