No reason to dwell on it. On to the next game. We are headed home tied 2-2. We got home court back. We should be up at least 3-1 but all you can do is tighten up and win the next one.

Never have seen the value in dwelling on a loss.

Dwelling on a loss and being in “great shape” are not the same lol…it’s 2-2. Great shape is 3-1. I still have Celtics in 6 and think we win the series but come on with great shape

Embiid is 2-9 against the C's in the playoffs and we got home court back. I'd argue that's in great shape. But we can agree to disagree.

I definitely disagree we are not in great shape. Great shape is Miami dominating their opponents. Now that is being in great shape.

You can't be serious.

The reality is you can't be in great shape when you play 500 basketball at home. It's anyone series

There's a reason Ainge chose Hardy if Joe.

Yeah unfortunately so far if the games are close down the stretch Boston doesn't end up winning.

I haven't seen a whole lot to make me think Boston's going to figure that problem out either especially with Joe as the coach.

It's not about losing the series.

It's about not fixing the constant bull series of events that are bound to catch up in the finals. Like last year.

Celtics were way better than the warriors but warriors played like they belonged.

I agree.

But I thought in this game the bigger issue was we let Harden and co get easy buckets for three quarters.

We looked the much better team in the fourth when they locked in defensively.

TF is Horford doing guarding Tucker for? He literally swallowed Embiid up late in the 4th and you have him guarding Tucker? LMAO what a disaster.

Where exactly did Smart screw up here? He was passed two shots with the clock running down and shot them/made one of them.

Marcus slows down the offense in close games by doing his useless rolling ball trick and walking the ball up the court. It gives the defense time to get set and results in the Celtics taking bad shots late in the clock.

Can anyone give me a sane reason why we are completely getting away from JB after halftime?

I'm not a stats guys, but I seriously doubt he is any better than 4th in second half usage, and quite possibly 5th in the clutch, which isn't new.

Its not an accident at this point, its the game plan.

I just watched the highlights again and that last possession was beyond pathetic by Joe, Tatum and Smart. It's like nobody on the team has any awareness.

Celtics are yet to have a night when their 3s are not falling. They are due. When that happens it's a double digit loss. That's why you can't lose both close games in a series.

It’s the playoffs. All losses suck. Live with it. I look at it more our offense did nothing for 2 quarters and neither did Philly and they had an 8 point edge at the half. We got home court back. U lose game 1 to a bunch of scrubs this is what potentially awaits. I feel good about us advancing. Very good.

You usually do not call timeouts in live ball situations not to give the opponent an opportunity to set up their defense.

This was not one of those times.

And it appears this is regularly happening. JB gets to a hot start and we completely go away from him in the 2nd half.

We have a team in front of us with the MvP who scores basically at will and a former MvP who has dropped a 40 piece on us TWICE topped off with a dagger game winner.

Those two, along with the fact that we suck at home in the playoffs and we have a coach who is a **** dumbass, means there is nothing to feel good about. This team would surprise a total of ZERO people if it laid an absurd egg at home in game 5.

It doesn't help that everyone on the team knows that once the ball hits Smarts hands, he's gonna suck that energy wide up. He's not looking to pass. Everyone and their mother knows that.

Said that I don't understand why +5 down the stretch, Smart with the ball takes a stupid step back 3 with Tucker on him. Why?

And too many offensive rebounds in crucial time by Phila.

Last possession, phila has no time-out. You have to take a shot 4/5 seconds left on the clock. If JT misses and the sixers get a rebound we foul theme having one more shot to tie or win.
Why take the shot at the buzzer

I'm glad somebody pointed it out. It's basic that when the opponent is in the lead, you go 2 for 1 in those situations. So if you miss, you foul immediately. There's still a chance for you to tie or even win the game.
