Not sure if it's legal, but Blazers could just sign-and-trade Grant to Lillard's new team. Force them to take on that silly contract.

Resigning Grant doesn't hard cap the Celtics. Know the rules before you get snarky.
What? I wasn't being snarky at all. It was a serious question. Jeez dude, not everyone knows every rule in the 600+ page CBA that was just issued to teams like 3 days ago.
We can't afford him at the Q.O let alone 12.4. it does indeed mean The Celtics are over the salary cap as a result of recent player acquisitions and contracts. Because of their high payroll and player commitments, the team is in a financial bind.

I would think that would make the Finances even harder to make a trade happen.

We can't sign Grant William? What happened to being able to go over the cap to sign your own player?

Nets could if they wanted (Simmons contract, Dinwiddie expiring, fillers). And again, if it's legal.
Dame | Cam | Mikal | Jerami | Clax as their starting five.

Oklahoma City is acquiring Brooklyn guard Patty Mills as part of a broader deal through Houston, sources tell ESPN. The Thunder will receive draft compensation to take on Mills’ $6.8M expiring deal.
Feel like Houston might be getting Harden at a fraction of the money he wanted. Might be something else but still feel like they aren’t done being super reckless yet.
Houston is most likely gonna get Brooks in a complicated sign and trade where they send Mills to OKC, Christopher to MEM, Garuba, Washington and 2 2nd round picks to ATL. That way they can still have around 12-13M in cap space, then sign Jeff Green with room exception.
They can aggregate Mills because they took him in their cap space. Pretty smart cap management. None of those young guys they're giving up are any good by the way.
VanVleet 3rd year is team option. I take back what I said about their front office. This is actually not as bad as it looked.
