Well, until someone scores, I'd imagine.

*whispers* up 7 now... but we need to be very very quiet about it so no one notices

Should the Nets actually trade Lopez/Young the Nets will be high lottery. If they decide to keep them and if their decision is to build around them, they will be around #10 and possibly borderline playoffs by 2018,depending on how good Marks is or how he chooses to build. Personally I'd like to see a real shot at a high lottery pick and the trading of Lopez/Young for draft picks. There's no need to be stubborn about disdain for Lopez and have them win extra games because he is still on the team and their direction is to win.Homerclease wrote:celtxman wrote:No nothing too deep here. I'm just encouraged that trading these guys in the off-season seems to be a real consideration. Why would anyone make this move without injuries? If these guys are traded, it dramatically ramps up the value of the 17 and 18 BRK picks. Maybe I'm reading into it too much. IMO if these guys stay, we're looking at picks around #10 and hopefully not worseCrowderKeg wrote:My comment was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek hence the lol at the end. Shutting down Young and Lopez (should've been done earlier but whatever) is a smart move by their GM. They're just protecting their two best assets seeing the season/draft pick is now lost anyways.
EDIT: Oh wait, you're saying the opposite. You think it's not the right move?
The nets are going to be even worse next year. Both Philly and LA are going to surpass them.

Outscored 30-10 in the 2nd.
8-40 since their 12-16 start to the season.
I really do feel that they are just going to throw in the towel and got 0-fer the rest of the season. There's no fight left in them.

I'm pulling for the Jazz in this one. PHO can win on a different night.

That's the problem. I don't think they can.
@ATL
@HOU
@NOP
v.SAC
v.LAC
They'll be lucky to get one in their last five.

The last 3 games are winnable, Clippers resting half their team, don't think Rondo and Cousins plays either. Ironically the Suns might rest their main guys too but I do think they have a chance those last three.
