Celtics need Irving/Tatum/Hayward/Horford/Smart/Morris to hit their shots. If they don't it will be a short postseason. They are not good enough defensively to carry a player like Jimmer. If Irving wasn't on the team I could possible see giving him a chance as a 3 point specialist.

What if Baynes gets hurt again? Celtics won't last long without Horford but it would be nice to have a 3rd true big to back him up as well.

In the absence of a big, I would have liked Jeremey Lin since I don't have a high degree of confidence in Rozier when he is playing a backup role.

I don't see anybody out there that is going to help us.

If you sign Jimmer, I don't think you would ever play Jimmer next to Irving. His only minutes come on the floor when Irving sits. Then he gets moved to New Orleans in the summer.

We don't need Fredette.
He's a 2nd/3rd Unit guy, in the NBA.

Well the theory is that we have to give that contract to somebody.... so who gets it? The buyouts are done. Who else is out there? It is going to have to go to somebody playing in China most likely. Jimmer is on a team that is likely to miss the CBA playoffs. Jimmer seems like a decent guy to give it to at this point.

Greg Monroe's big money days are over. He is probably a vet min guy going forward. Maybe he is down to get paid again.

Omri Casspi
Thomas Robinson
Deyonta Davis - people were mad we passed on him and got the Clippers pick.
Ty Lawson - he played 19 mins a game in the postseason without any regular season minutes last year.
Ben Mclemore
Ramon Sessions
Marreese Speights
Tyler Zeller - we overpayed him to be a trade chip before

Just give it to PJ Dozier or RJ Hunter? RJ is possible I guess. He was kind of an odd pickup to start with.

It will probably be Monroe or ZBo if anyone at this point. I can't see the Celtics signing anyone as a rotation player

Lakers are done, they should cut Rondo, that would change our prospects

Such fragile chemistry with this team, I'm not sure at this point that bringing in someone else is a good thing. Guys just started smiling again. Would have loved to see a Baynes clone or a ball handling PG, but think I pass at this point.

At this point I am with you. Just hope they can stay healthy.

Yeah. Danny is being really cautious with just adding somebody.
I would have liked Baynes-like backup, too. And a 1+1, for the AD Trade this Summer/

Robin Lopez would be nice on this team. Bulls won't buy him and if they do he will probably go somewhere else.

Yeah, I wanted Robin Lopez to be on the Celtics, after a Buyout.

Is there some exceptional locker room guy out there? Somebody with that Channing Frye role. How about Kendrick Perkins? He did it last year didn't he?

I think Danny is going to wait until the very last moment to give somebody this contract. It would have been nice if it was somebody that could get a few minutes, so it wasn't so obvious, but oh well.
