No mention on whether they got tested in Milwaukee.

They must have?
All of the Bucks got tested, according to reports.

I feel better having the team back in Boston, nevertheless.

Authorities need to be able to trace the source and that doesn't work when you ask people have you been in contact with John Doe.

Yep, that makes sense. Just put myself in Mitchell's shoes and probably wouldn't be thrilled to see Woj tweeting out stuff about my personal health. Suppose NBA guys relinquish some of the rights when it comes to injury etc.

Very touchy, for sure. Maybe they allowed the NBA to announce it like Hanks voluntarily coming forward?

The NBA, sure. But Woj essentially doing business (click and RT's) off the news is not that.

add another zero to that month and you're still talking about an extremely optimistic timeline

yeah i should have been clearer, I guess a month for an effective treatment, then on to mass distribution and creation.

I don't think that there's going to be a "March Madness" this year.
I'm wondering how this will affect the players/students eligibilities for NCAA & NBA?

This is something to be taken seriously obviously but the population is going to make this much worse. Hospitals are going to he overrun (my wife is a nurse and people come into the ER for everything to begin with) with people who think they are dying when they sneeze or sniffle.

My buddies wife went to the supermarket and she had to leave because it was bedlham. People are now going to panic horde items leaving none for the next person.

I really want to know if our guys have been tested. All I'm seeing is they are going home and advised to keep to themselves.

So, what do you do when you get back home?
You don't want to infect your family.

Are the Celtics going to hold up somewhere?

Based on our governments response so far not well. Our president had put a freeze on government hiring and a lot of our government agencies are running well under head count. Plus he seems to care more about trying to make the stock market go up than actually help solve the issue.

This global crisis isn't a laughing matter by any means but I personally believe we still need a bit of levity in times like this. Otherwise, we'll all go mad with anxiety and fear. Gobert touching reporters' mics or being careless in the locker room wasn't funny at all though even if he meant it jokingly.

We've basically handled it worse than just about any other first world county. We're Italy in 2 weeks.

My guess is an aborted playoffs in late July/early August. At least I hope we're to a point where that is advisable. Their next year is at serious risk, too, until a vaccine is available, maybe in the spring. So I'm guessing it will be a shortened season next year too.

Maybe now is a good time, which has been discussed, to shift the months of the season. From say February to September.

To everyone, let's be careful about pointing fingers at Gobert. Obviously, he was super-careless, but we still don't know how he got it and where/when (and may never). Mitchell could have had it first. He could have got in BOS for the game. Etc, etc. Being the first name out, plus his behavior and the season being suspended are obviously going to make him a target, but let's be cool here and not go into warning/ban worthy territory with it please.

Even we if assume the NBA or whomever did the testing last night is a "covered entity" under HIPAA, federal law specifically allows a covered entity to disclose protected health information without a patient’s authorization in a number of situations.

The one most likely to fall under this exception is when the disclosure is made to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to the public health and safety. See 45 CFR 164.512(j).

I'm looking forward to this crisis passing so private industry, its lobbyists and its government stooges can resume their attacks on the public sector with less guilt.

I think that Trump definitely has it at this point, and he's well within that vulnerable population. I highly doubt it would ever be reported if he does but I wonder what the response would be then.

Holy ****, it's out of control. I can't imagine what the headlines are going to be when we're reporting 2000 cases and 200 deaths a day here in the US.
