I'm just dabbling with this stuff. But, can we actually get away with this?
We'd end up with a jumbo TPE, which Danny does tend to use.

LOL, no chance Minny does this, But for sake of argument who do you want Bostonto grab at #1..

pray it aint LaMelo :noway:

A 19-year old - 6'7" - PG? We could do worse.
Someone to come up behind 30-year old Kemba.

How about Hayward to Philly, Horford and Tucker to Boston and a Philly 1st to HOU? Philly gets off of Horford's contract, Boston gets a real defensive front court and HOU gets a 1st for a non-guaranteed contract of Tucker? Works in the trade machine.

Then offer Rondo the full MLE, 2/14m, use the picks and smaller contracts of Theis, Semi(?), Poirier etc. to upgrade for a shooter on the wing during the season.

Kemba-Rondo-Edwards
Jaylen-Smart
Tatum-Langford(or said shooter during the season)
Tucker-Grant W
Horford-Theis-Timelord

This team needs steady vets who have been there, done that and who can lead these young guys and guide them to make better decisions. We lost to Miami because we didn't execute properly, we let them get in our heads, didn't take good shots etc. Rondo-Horford-good vet like Ariza for example fix a lot, if not all, of those issues.

Just imagine at some point Smart, Brown, Tatum, Tucker and Horford on defense. I'm salivating already.

Nope, we want nothing to do with old man Al's contract, nice guy good player, there is a reason we did not try to match it

So which remaining teams haven't we trade Hayward yet to?

Chicago?

Hayward + #30 for Satoransky, Thad Young, and Felicio

- A 6'7" versatile playmaker and a solid veteran big to boost the bench. Bulls get a playmaking 3 to pair up with their scoring backcourt of White and Lavine.

Knicks?

Hayward for Randle, Bullock and Ellington

- Celts get 2 career 37% 3pt specialists. Then maybe Randle plays better when he's not the 1st option? Knicks add... a big name? Ok, ok. We could give them #26 as well.

Grizzlies?

Hayward + #26 for Dieng + Winslow + Grayson Allen

- Dieng is a decent defensive big with a nice jumpshot. Celts finally get DA's clone who actually shot 40% from 3 last season. Winslow is a throw-in to match salaries, but maybe Boston can do wonders for him the way they did with Smart and Brown? Grizzlies inject a solid vet into their young core and some playmaking into their starting lineup. They also get a 1st round pick this year when they had none.

We have talked about the rockets implosion for a year.....looks like it may be happening at least to some degree now

Prediction:

Westbrook to the Knicks.

And.... drum roll...

Harden to Boston.

I dont want it. I may genuinely hate it. But I thought it was super interesting that both Tatum and Kemba heaped praise on Harden last year when every other player trashes him.

What’s your harden package just for fun.....

Personally I just hate watching his game. Saw him live and it was honestly horrrrrrrible. I guess when he’s getting every call and dropping 35 for us it’s different.

I guess I’d again be worried about the team ball watching and getting stagnant offense and then the questions about his playoff performance

I dont want to offer this; its why I said the bolded.

I could see Ainge doing Smart, Brown, RWIII, Romeo, Semi, 14, two more FRP for Harden and Tucker. Then dumping Kanter, Poirier to end dropping 3-5M from our cap overall.

Feels like too much, but just what I could see him doing.

That’s a **** gauntlet lol....it pains me trading a player whose all heart grit and balls for the antithesis in harden. Jesus haha.

Who knows man, the rockets should deffffff trade him but knowing that they’ll prob try and run it back with John Lucas lol

I have posted about memphis a number of times.

Memphis is down to trade dieng, anderson, #40 and a top 10 protected first rounder for Hayward.

Seems like a reasonable trade to me.

Get a starting center, get a backup pf, shed close to 8 mill in salary, add a second and another potential lotto pick next year.

Adds the ability to make more deals.

Could even do:

Kemba
Harden
Tatum
Tucker
Theis

If you wanted more size/defense

Yes that works also. Top 6 guy in harden top 10ish (as of now) in tatum. Kemba slides into the 3rd spot to really just score in bunches etc. but I’m telling you fellas, Houston will just keep trucking this back and now with JOHN LUCAS! Lol.

Lucas is a great man and a great individual story but there’s no way it’s gonna work. Been out the league for years as a coach and the fact that harden wants him imo just shows that he think he can just do whatever on the court and keep playing that same iso style

I feel like Doc and or Philly ownership is gonna be stubborn and try and make Simmons / Embiid work. The longer they try the better for us.

uh g.will green glasses on
G.will is closer to 1st year stats than any other if he gets to p.j. Tucker status then I'd be happy. He is regressing since his 1st year 3% in college, and his free throws % isn't clutch the only thing this dude knows how to do is be in the right position most the time. tiny arms means he ain't getting shots like in college doubt he ever gets to 8 ppg. Just not fond of him in general as is a 8th or less man off the bench and we are playing him at the 5 pff. Pj Tucker does laps around this guy at 35 year of age.

Please not Harden, it'd be a different torture to Flatearther but with many similarities IMO.
