I think 1/2 of them are fine if only 1 is in at a time with 4 rotation guys.

Queta can play, Walsh can play, Springer can ball-hawk in certain matchups.

Yeah, it needs to be mathematically impossible for the other team to come back in order to put them in and feel comfortable.

Joe keeps rolling them out there without a lead ball-handler. Forcing Springer to deal with pressure without screen options is almost sabotage.

But sometimes PP is out there in garbage time and it seems inappropriate too.

Exactly. But you put all 5 of them out there together and of course it's going to look bad - especially this early in the season.

Not to mention you throw them out there with under 2 mins left in the game, when they have just been sitting on the bench all game, so they are coming on cold after sitting there watching for the past 2 hours..like, what do you expect is gonna happen?

They call it garbage time for a reason.

On some nights, someone like PP should go out there with them and run spread pick and roll so the others can practice attacking closeouts, moving the ball, and sticking open 3's - the things they'd actually be asked to do if they play meaningful minutes.

PP obviously earned the right to not be in that role, especially tonight, but I'm not sure who else we'd put there.

That game they were hunting that 3pt record.

Meh. Last season they tore ass. Maybe because Pritch was out there along with other solid guys in Brissy, Lamar, and Banton at times too, but we would win up 30 if the starters sat up 20. So far it gets down to 10 it seems, with the clock being the saving grace.

I know it’s not a good thing to complain about but it feels better when the deepest of the bench can sustain. These games it’s been hard to watch. Maybe because I feel like these guys will need to contribute in a couple years for real. I would like to see them look like they have a chance at doing something positive.

Not only that, they are playing against players in the same situation, so the sitting and watching and never playing doesn’t really hold much weight. I want more energy from them. Need to see people go out there and play like this is their last chance on an NBA court. Energy can make up for everything else, but these guys look really bad on that too. Pritchard in his rookie year would go out there with his butt on fire even if his game wasn’t there yet. Walsh wasn’t good but he was out there flying around like nesmith last season when he got in a game lol. It wasn’t good at all but you could see he was trying. Bumble on energy, compete like you want it, the game will come to you eventually, if you don’t cheat it!

They looked fine other than the missing. All the shots were ball movement and wide-open. Heck a lot seemed like you had to look hard to see a defender on camera. They had the recipe for success, the record had other ideas.

No PG or legit ballhandler to organize offense. We had Pritchard, Banton, and Svi in garbage time lineups last season. This year, it's Springer or Davison. It's also only been 3 games w/ garbage time.

What I could find as garbage time lineups:
JS-JD-BS-JW-DP: -7 in 4 mins.
PP-JD-BS-JW-NQ: -2 in 3 mins.
JS-JD-BS-JW-NQ: -1 in 2 mins.
JS-DP-BS-JW-NQ: -5 in 2 mins.

FWIW, last year's 3rd units also had similar lines to above but it does stand out when they kill the competition in a game or two.
