Dooling is coming back. Fab melo apparently was told that jersey No. 51 was unavailable, which may have been a hint that 32-year-old reserve Keyon Dooling could re-sign.

Either that or he's retiring

Now I'm positive Ray will be signing with the Heat today. Any time an inside source on this board guarantees something, the exact opposite always happens.

I'm hoping your right though.

VB , if this is indeed a ruse , then this is clearly cruel and unusual punishment . Question ? If Ray's problem is indeed the anguish of being shopped at the deadline , how many are for a no-trade clause ?

You already have made a name for yourself. We will see if it is good name or a bad name.

Not demanding respect, I'll receive it regardless when I break a couple of stories.

I never understood why people got upset with posters who claimed to have sources. At the worst it adds excitement to the board and at best it gives us die hards an inside track to these stories we're following so closely.

Go on Vin-Baker.

Allen is signing with Heat. Remember we're you heard it first. Sides were finalizing deal after dinner

That's depth.

This line-up looks great. If we can get Green signed for less than rumored, and Vin's "inside source" is correct, I would say this was a VERY successful off-season.

Two biggest X-Factors in my head however:

1.) Injuries during the year. Let's hope all the ones from last year were enough to cover any and all for 12-13.

2.) Development of the boilermakers / draftees. I'm excited to see how far they've come.

Breif side-note: Sean Williams anybody? Still think this guy is capable at the 5. I hope he shows Danny something in Orlando/Vegas.

Inaccurate. Ray is on his way back to Boston to finalize the deal with Boston. Totally false.

Hope this isn't like Frank Lucas' buzzkill with the draft. Although the Celtics did manage to address some needs on draft day, I'm positive what happened with the draft, isn't what Frank had in mind.

I think if Ray were to have signed in Miami, he would've done it already. So Vinnie Baker might be right, hopefully.

Go on Vin-Baker.

Because its way too easy to claim you have inside sources and really just be lying to troll a fanbase. I'd have no problem with inside sources so long as they could at least somewhat prove they aren't flat out making things up. Usually though, everything is very anonymous and it makes it hard to keep track of who really has the info and who is making things up.

P.S. This isn't aimed at anyone in particular. Just speaking my mind.

Look at the comments. Even Heat fans aren't buying his BS.

I'm not going to play the source brothers game but Vin Baker is telling the truth. Ray is going to re-sign with Boston. He left Miami without signing a contract. The stuff about his son getting great treatment is true. Ray never wanted to leave Boston he just doesn't want to be traded. Going to Miami was pure leverage and not once did Ray actually consider going to Miami. The Boston Celtics locker room was a close bunch of guys. Ray Allen was not going to leave his brothers, but he wanted to make sure that management wouldn't ship him out either. Ray wants to keep his family in boston.

Return to Boston Celtics
