The best lineup for this team WILL be:
Smart
AB
Jae
KO
Amir

Eventually that will either be the starting lineup or the 5 man group that has the best NetRtg.

We barely saw it during the preseason, but I'd like to see further experimentation with Sully and Lee playing together. It allows us to control the boards and on certain nights (when Sully is making 3s) it could be a very efficient offensive pairing. Play them with 3 of these 4: Bradley, Smart, Crowder, Rozier and we'd be getting stops and getting boards. That's like 2 of the 3 things you need to do to win. Throw in opportunistic offense and that lineup could make things happen.

Also would like to see a LOT of Crowder and Jerebko at 4 with Amir at 5. Use this lineup with IT and Hunter spacing the court and either Smart or AB there to keep things defensively-minded.

The Cs announced last night that Young and Mickey were the inactives. They can change those names up to an hour before gametime but I'm assuming those 2 won't be in uniform. League rules allow for 13 active players. I believe KO has to be placed on the active list in order for him to serve his suspension, which is why he'll be on the active list.
The leaks are real...the news is fake.

I'm just here for the memes.

the lineup is Smart-Bradley-Crowder-Lee-Zeller with IT-Turner-Jonas-Amir-KO-Sully off the bench. 11-man rotation with the bigs keeping fresh. Rozier/Hunter in uniform because they both offer elements that the C's simply didn't have last year (shooting, speed), so even though it's unlikely they play anything more then garbage time, these 2 are more equipped to contribute right now over Young Mickey.

Although I suspect Young/Mickey and Rozier/Hunter could end up in some rotation of who plays VS who's in street clothes. And Brad Stevens WILL rest players strategically during the season and give a player a night off to help keep the team fresh and deep

Just to show the even talent on this roster, for contrast, try this: What's the WORST starting lineup the Celtics could have opening night?

Assume Young and Mickey are inactive, and Olynyk is suspended. Don't put any players out of position.

Wouldn't it go something like:

Rozier
Hunter
Turner
Jerebko
Sullinger

It's impossible to do this and not come up with a lineup not all that far off talent-wise from the actual starters. Amazing.

Where's RJ ??
I want him to start and then bring in Isaiah at the 7/6 min mark. RJ will eventually be starting and can handle the first and last 5mins of each half. 20-25 mins a game is what I see from him this season; why not start him ?? Avery is what he is << role player Defender & 3pt. shooter, and should be coming off the bench 15-20 mins per >

The future is now lineup:
1-Marcus
2-RJ
3-Evan or Jae, Jae or Evan
4-Lee
5-Sully or Amir, Amir or Sully

Zeller will start tho ha

It goes to show you what great work your GM has done. Top it off with the valuable treasure chest of picks, and the next couple of years are going to be fun. Ainge really has this rebuild by the sac, and he isn't letting go anytime soon. Fun days ahead boys.
