I'm afraid to even say who I think they trade it for.

Everyone Knows Ainge's draft board look very different than league/pundit consensus. I wonder if Bender is even in his top 10.

LOL. No one follows Euroball here except for a couple of foreign posters. And, Bender played in Israel. I can't speak intelligently about Bender to be honest. He can either be Gasol or he could be Skeeter. We don't know. Gotta trust Ainge on this.

I like Simmons and Ingram, but I don't see superstar with either.

I voted to keep the pick, although I think we obviously trade for Butler or Cousins, it is just unlikely they will be available at that price. I was watching the draft express videos and it really looks like Jaylen Brown is a complete player. SG which is a position of need for us, good size and strength, aggressive mentality, great rebounder, versatile scorer, quick driver, solid finisher, high defensive potential. The only real weaknesses they list are decision making, and based on the clips his errors were all with ambitious passes and drives... would rather have that than a timid mentality.

Ingram would be my second favorite, but he doesn't have a killer instinct, he is also bone skinny and gets abused on defense and finishing around the basket. Simmons can't shoot, Bender looks worse than Olynyk in every way. If we get Brown I'll be happy, still decent odds he could be better than the others. Most likely to be a starter day 1.

If there is a good deal to be made I'm fine with moving the 3, so long as we're talking about a top level star with multiple years left on his deal (Cousins, Butler) and the rest of the package isn't TOO much of an overpay.
If not I'd be perfectly happy with Bender, I think his ceiling is very high and he's a good fit for what Stevens likes to do with his versatility, defensive potential and shooting potential.

Btw, problem with trading No. 3 pick is price. Lakers can now get Butler or Cousins for No. 2 pick. I think lakers will trade pick for someone like Butler or Simmons and use that to attract a Free agent, kinda like how Cleveland beat us out for Love.

Oh hell no.

It's someone so boring, so unexciting, so fitting and so expected, it hasn't been mentioned here in quite some time.

Weeks, at least.

We could do a lot worse than Gordon, personally I'd rather go after his teammate in Favors. I think he could be had from Utah after lyles solid rookie campaign

I'd prefer to trade the pick. If we keep it I'm not going to be too mad regardless of who we take. There's really no clear #3. I still remember last year when everyone and their mother was mocking the Knicks for drafting Porzingis. Knicks fans were in an uproar. The guy ended up being one of the best rookies. Everyone saying "I'll be mad if they draft X" are just making the same mistake. Danny may draft your preferred choice and the guy may be a bust. He might draft your least favorite option and the guy might be a star.

Regardless, if Danny doesn't trade these Nets picks, in a few years we'll be able to settle once and for all the debate over whether or not Danny is good at drafting.

The argument against Bender is he sucks. Unless your impressed with his 4 points and 2 rebound averages in the Euroleague. Bender could be good but it won't be for another 3 years

Don't ever complain that the Celtics drafted KO over Giannis then.

Never have, never will

I will attempt to find specific sourcing really quick, but Boston has sent scouts to watch Dragan Bender on multiple occasions throughout the past two years.

I like Brown too. He may end up the best player in this draft.

Although probably no superstars, we wil get a good player at #3 (and also at 16). Most likely better than will return in a trade.
need - backcourt scoring/rebounding/shotblocking

#3 - Buddy Hield or Jamal Murray (Hield safe pick/Murray upside pick)
#16 Chiek Diallo or Skal Labissiere (Both upside picks)

Bulls are interested in Dunn. You guys may try for Jimmy Butler.

Once Butler is in, you guys may attract big time FA in offseason.
