Trade the **** thing

Does this mean you are that high on fultz? Not a sarcastic question by any means I'm just curious in that you don't seem to place any value on any of the players we could get at 3

I bet danny would of traded pick 3 and this year's brooklyn pick protected 1 and 6-30 for last year's first overall pick too guys.

Didn't happen because the Sixers aren't **** crazy.

KEEP DIGGING.

Fultz and Simmons gonna look pretty slick together.

Yup. Hand delivered by Danny. Never thought I'd see it. But, they'll make bank on tickets and have a nice playoff team with no real chance to win a title, while Philly waltzes by with a wink and a thank you.

He had a chance to be an all time great in Boston. He got in over his head and took one right up the pooper. No lube style to boot.

No hate to the Sixers.

Hope they enjoy watching us play in June the next 5 years.

Must be nice to be able to see the future. Did you have to practice that or does it come naturally?

I was high on the value of pick number 1.

I don't think danny got a proper return. In fact I know he didn't. This is a fail of historic proportion.

Admittedly I am disappointed he didn't get both the Lakers and Sacto picks

We will play sure, we will have absolutely zero chance at winning a title of course, we are on the cusp of being the clippers east.

Oh it's natural. Let's see. Team A needs a guard. Has been trying to desperately get one. That's the final piece for their team. Team B has that guard to take if they want it. Instead they say, hey...know this is exactly what you need so here you do, take it. Complete your team as you've built it. Back to back number one picks. Sounds like a good idea to me.

So yeah it's not hard to see..only Danny apologists say otherwise.

At this stage it's all about hypotheticals. What if they end up with 2 top 5 picks next year? Does that help us, especially with the quality of bigs for next year's draft? I say yes it does. I suspect that Philly will possibly live and die with embiids health. If he plays healthy for the next 10 years, they will be very strong. If Not, maybe they are great and maybe very much not

Yeah. Delusion city. So desperate to try and polish this turd they will stop at nothing. Best part is about to come. Danny taking it right up the shaft on a trade for an aging vet.

I'm gonna tell you a secret. I'm sort of a bully when it comes to destroying people in arguments I know I won't lose.

Did it many times to Ws fans, when they thought guys like Monta, Biedrins, Brandan Wright, Anthony Randolph and Harrison Barnes were core building blocks.

Did it to Celtics fans who were against trading for KG or the Nets trade, or who thought David Lee was a starter, or who thought Boogie was worth trading all the Nets picks for despite being a completely mentally-weak POS loser.

And I am doing the same to some of you right now.

Even as a guy who liked Fultz at #1, I am going to rub my big Irish balls in the faces of anyone who doesn't understand the big picture here.

You a good dude, but the truth is, you are already looking for a way out here. That as clear to me when you set the standard of this trade being successful as a required title within 3 years.

No hate. I know this is all too much for you and you are shook. You still need this beating, sorry.

Isn't it really just to help Fultz's rep

Maybe

But your 5 straight finals predictions is gonna look rather silly in just a few short weeks

You're the one who is claiming trading the pick is connected to a bigger picture to acquiring a talent needed to be competitive sooner.

Which is great. I hope so. I'll apologize a million times over if THIS trade is the core move that leads us to the promise land.

However it need to be in the next 3.seasons because after that fultz and Simmons have the best promise going forward after that point.

Certainly not Jackson and brown

Who are cornerstone players? Keep seeing we possibly traded one and won't be able to get one back. I'm wondering what tier does cornerstone look like

I'm ranking them in tiers
Best in World Group
1. LBJ
2. Durant

Elite
3. Leonard
4. Westbrook
5. Harden
6. Davis
7. Curry
Knocking on Door of Elite
8. Freak
9. KAT
Really Really good
10. Lilllard
11. Wall
12. Paul (was elite but aging)
13.Gasol
One more year and could jump to Elite or knocking on door
14. Jokic
15. Gobert
Really Good
16. PG13
17. Butler
18. Irving
19 IT
20. Cousins (could be higher but attitude)
21. Derozan
22. Klay
23. Love
24. Hayward
25. Griffin

I'm just pissed they had a chance to have a dominate PG which they don't have for years to come or a massive haul of assets to mitigate not having that. Instead they have next to nothing. Danny has even said they got lucky with the Nets picks and he is right. It wasn't for sure they would be that bad at the exact right time. Same for LA or the Sacramento.

You don't trade the number one for luck or hope. And that the bothersome part. No one is acknowledging these picks could end up very bad just as much as they could end up spectacular. That's too much risk for giving up the top player.

In my mind the below is a really good summer for the Celtics post Philly trade.

BOS - #5 (Isaac), WCS
SAC - #3

BOS - #7 (Ntilikina or DSJ)
MIN - Bradley, 2nd rounder 2017

Sign Gordon Hayward

BOS - PG13 (remember contract)
IND - Crowder, Zeller, Rozier, Mem 19, LAC 19

IT4/(Ntilikina or DSJ)
Hayward/Smart
PG13/Brown
Horford/Isaac
WCS/Zizic

Maintain BRK 18
Maintain LALorSAC

Guess we never hashed this one out. Why in the hell would Indy take meh players and meh picks for giving up PG? Don't see that working.

Return to Boston Celtics
