I think it should be AB. I'm sure Stevens still has Shelvin Mack on speed-dial.
Baylor is Brat.

Interesting.....Hayward reminds me of John Havelcek....

Does anyone remember who the very first "sixth man" was?

Hondo.....

Wouldn't surprise me if Brad uses Hayward in this way....

You know who has 1 year left on his deal, and the same agent as Hayward?

That's right y'all. It's Nik Stauskas. He makes $3.8M this year, and could be had for the mere price of Avery Bradley, who makes $8M this year.

Throw in Crowder for Okafor, and you save another $2.6M on the deal.

And hell, go ahead and make that 2018 Lakers pick only top 1 protected.

Deal?

So, resulting scenario. Okafor adds big man minutes, scoring in the post, some rebounding. And Stauskas adds more outside shooting.

And you save $7M in the "process", whilst getting a near guarantee of the Lakers pick conveying.

The Celtics would be left with $27.6M in room and likely need to move the contract of Terry Rozier or Marcus Smart. Trading Rozier would have the Celtics short $1M of a max salary a lot."http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19810138/gordon-hayward-picks-boston-celtics-utah-jazz-miami-heat

All right RealGM's. Who do we trade and for what, I think it needs to be Avery Bradley, we clearly are not going to spend the 15 mill plus a year he is going to demand on the open market and we should be able to get some kind of decent return like a non lottery future first for him. Jaylen and Marcus can play 2, Hayward can slide over there some as well. Crowder has trade value as well, but he is under a great contract for a while and brings toughness, I hate to give up on smart, and just Rozier does not get us there. What do you think we should do?

Well, we definitely have to get Creative.

We may need to trade Crowder for a TPE and (as if we need it) a pick.

Edit:
Or Bradley. Both are underpaid. So, we won't get a good amount, in the way of trade.

No trade exception we need cap space. Bradley to PHI for Okafor should create 3.8 mil in cap space (it looks like we need 2.7 mil).

he he...good effort.

You know I would consider it if the top 1 protection is taken off the laker / sac / philly pick. its not likely to matter at all but....there is a chance.

As a Knicks' fan, would your front office consider something like this:

#1 Crowder to NYK for TPE

#2 Bradley to NYK for Courtney Lee

out of curiosity...

Out of all the possible options, Crowder is the odd man out.

Time to develop Brown/Tatum in earnest by giving them starter minutes

Nah, we'd want to get KOQ back at a minimum with any deal with NYK.

We need close to 3 million coming back right?

What about:

Minny gets: Bradley, Crowder, Jackson

Boston gets: Dieng, 2018 first rounder (from OKC, lotto-protected).

Thibs gets two guys who fit perfectly into the type of ball he likes to play.
We get a big with some promise, and a pick likely to be in the teens.

No Boston will look for a deal that nets them assets or a player but also creates the necessary cap space. You will hear Bradley for a 5 mil player type of deal. Crowder into cap space has a shot but it will require a first round pick.

Man I think a lot of posters on this thread are missing that as things stand right now, Crowder is our starting power forward. We simply don't have enough big men on our roster right now to give up a guy who can play small ball power forward, and we will still probably need to add more big men even if we keep him. I think we can probably afford to give up Smart or Bradley even though they are better players because we're pretty stacked with guards between IT, Brown, and Rozier, though we will obviously need to add another point guard if we trade Smart. I guess between the three, I think we probably get the best return for Smart even though he's a worse player than Bradley because he's cheap, young, healthy, and an RFA instead of UFA. Which barring another trade would leave us starting IT, Bradley, Hayward, Crowder, and Horford with a bench of Rozier, Brown, Tatum, Green, Zizic, and whoever else we can sign for cap room MLE and vet minimum.

Dieng is good! Will make less money than Bradley+Crowder combined over the next 4 years.

I no longer want to be emotionally invested in Marcus Smart's shooting improvements.

Therefore he is my choice.
The most charitable interpretation is that it's ethnic cleansing and massive war crimes.
