Re: Post-Game Notes: BOS 114, MIA 117 (0-1)
Kemba Walker ain't no max player on a Championship Team.
There are about 22 teams that Kemba can chew up, but there are about 8 teams that make Kemba look like a bench player. Miami and Toronto are two of them.
And damn bad play to end regulation. Kemba's ego made him give up the ball too late to Tatum, so by the time he had the ball, there were literally 3 guys in his path and he had to shoot a deep 3. If Kemba had given Tatum the ball sooner on the last play in regulation, Tatum might have been able to generate a shot going to the basket, and draw a foul.

Brad has to get Jaylen more involved, if you get him good looks, he will take advantage most of the time.
Seeing Kemba like this during his first playoff run hurts my heart.

multiple trash decisions down the stretch in the 4th, should have never gone to OT.

We could have had an unreal play to end it in regulation had Brad called an unreal play.

Since game 6 of the Raptors, we have run 100% ISO from about mid 4th on. I'm not sure Brown, Smart, and Theis combined touched the ball 10 times in the last 10 minutes. Its piss poor predictable offense.

More than two. Tatum's airball was around the 2:00 mark, for example.
As great as Tatum was for the first 46 minutes, he was thoroughly ineffective for the last 7.
Smart drawing the foul at the end of regulation was a good play. Too bad it was wasted.

Kemba passed up at least 3 or 4 shots right after freeing up out of a screen, that he ALWAYS took before. His confidence is gone.

Like what? They had the ball in the hands of a guy who can get his shot over anyone and he took the potential GW shot as time expired. It was a makeable shot.

Jaylen actually was 3-4 from 3pt range. I hope that means he's less scared of shooting them next game.

PierceFan4ever wrote:The defense concerned me a lot this game. Seems like all the threes the heat hit were open and there was a lotttt of confusion on those plays. Also Theis committed some terrible fouls to get them in the bonus where it felt like they shot free throws every play late.
On offense, what can I say, Kemba was very poor again. Tatum shot selection in the clutch has not been good and shorting a lot of threes. Need to run more plays, felt like we got nothing in the paint tonight.
The defense is terrible. How many times are they going to leave crowder open this series? On top of that are they ever going stop a player from getting saving or game winner shot? I literally have no confidence in this team getting stops.

Agreed. I don’t understand what happened with Brad playbook from 2018 playoffs he was so good vs Sixers.

I don’t think he deserved a max even at his best. Whatever he is right now is like MLE type of play. He’s basically name brand Lou Williams out there

Re: Post-Game Notes: BOS 114, MIA 117 (0-1)
Up 5 and give up a Herro 3 in transition. Up 2 and give up a Butler corner 3 after Kemba dribbles for 20 seconds and gets stuffed by Crowder. That's where we pretty much lost this ****.
This team has lost almost every single close game it's played so far and most of them we beat ourselves with dumb, dumb decisions.
What was the free throw difference in the 4th though? Laughable.
Btw Jaylen Brown would be a superstar with Spo. Dude is criminally under used by this soft ass coach.

Lights are too bright for Kemba!? WTH happened to the allstar, he’s second guessing layups when he’s a foot ahead of Crowder! Tatum playing hero ball the last two quarters was another killer tonight! Bombing threes left and right and absolutely no ball
Movement. We deserved this loss

Miami can't shoot 44.4 percent from 3 in the next game. This is the key for us to win the Game 2.
