My guess is that ESPN is going to at least suspended him and I wouldn't be surprised if he's let go.

Honestly probably not a huge loss because Pierce It's a terrible analyst

American culture is pretty weird. Most notable here being the gender thing.

Pierce is a good guy, just a part of the culture and lifestyle of an NBA star fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your views.

Not sure why you’d single out the NBA. This happens across all professional sports. My co-worker’s son used to run a pub-crawl down in Edmonton, and he used to get a lot of visiting NHL players who’d take part when they were in town for a game. He hooks up players with a ton of blow. Cocaine use is pretty rampant in the NHL, which shouldn’t really be a shocker to anyone who watches hockey, since you see players sniffing smelling salts right on the bench.

Also, about 8-9 years ago, I somehow got invited to party at Zach Bogosian’s condo (defenceman who used to play for the Jets, currently playing for the Leafs). Place was filled with young girls. Had to leave because I had to pee. All the bathrooms were occupied the whole time I was there. Gosh, I wonder what was going on in there? Anyhow, a few years later, he and Jacob Trouba (another d-man) were out with “injuries”. Turns out that both were in rehab.

Yea I was a bellhop in San Diego at a hotel that housed the visiting baseball players playing against the Padres pretty much 90% plus are partying having “strippers” and such come to the room weed deliveries asking for wife to be in a different floor because they got hoes coming thru.

Pretty much any pro sport. **** even at the lodge at Torrey pines I heard the pro golfers party hard and have girls pay visits to the rooms.

I'm not naive and I've done drugs in my life but whatever is the normal in 'NBA or sport circumstances', this shouldnt be the normal. Any father doing this is not a good father. I also sometimes want to get away from daily business with the kids or whatever but there are one thousand more civil things to do, let alone share it with the public.

Yeah, I would hate it if my kid reached the top of his profession, made hundreds of millions of dollars, and retired before he turned 40 to smoke weed and play video games with his boys while scantily-clad hot women lounged around. Sounds awful.

What if that was your wife instead of your son. Now how would you feel?

Celtics history lesson time: like every other nba player ever, the bulk of the 1980s Celts teams smoked regularly. Bill Walton? Lmao. Robert Parish once got busted having weed FedExed to his house. DJ, Bird smoked too. Dave Cowens? Don Nelson grows pot as a profession now in Hawaii, and hangs out with Willie Nelson and Woody Harrelson getting baked and playing poker. Also... pot is legal in CA! You might as well be making a big deal out of Pierce in a video looked buzzed off some some wine lol.

Pierce is also retired. He doesn’t get tested for drugs. Lol at anyone appalled or offended by Pierce having a party.

Anybody that’s actually mad at Paul at this (****, in whatever scenario) should have their Celtics fandom revoked.

At the end of the day it's basketball.

My kid may never make millions but I'm certainly more proud of him on the cusp of earning his degree and being a stand up person in life.

BTW he's not playing a video game

The only part that bugs me is his kids saw this on social media just like everyone else. Probably not the greatest parenting if we're being honest.

I'm with ya, Fencer. We all saw TB12 a bit tipsy after the SB and could relate--but if he'd had the prostitute action that Pierce had on camera, it would have been a sad day for TB12 as a husband and a father to his girl, his boys, and the rest of the youngsters looking up to him.

We are definitely making assumptions, but that’s really not that bad, either.

On a related note, stay out of Nevada.

I'm being mild in my criticism for reasons that probably resemble yours for evidently not being critical at all.

And by the way, my wedding vows did not have a clause about fidelity.

I’ve heard Pierce used to go to Manray in Cambridge. Either way, he’s a freak, for sure. My guys are around a lot of high-profile athletes, and what we saw on Instagram is the rule and not the exception. Not everyone, of course, but most players do and a lot are way further out from that. It’s just a different world for these guys with different rules of engagement. Most of the wives/partners are fully aware and some are active participants or have their own freak going on.

Sounds crass and doesn’t apply to all of them, but it’s no hyperbole to say that a lot of them literally won the lottery the second they married a professional athlete, especially one of Pierce’s stature. They have money and status and some degree of fame. As to the professionals, they are generally well-compensated and into the lifestyle as well.
