That stoppage on the Nurkic/Smart collision was surreal.
I really thought they might just walk away and leave everyone to come to terms with the fact that the game was over.

I will say this, if that wasn't Smart, no WAY that review gets started or has the outcome that it did. I was defending homeboy recently, but damn that's a bad reputation if you've got refs looking to do that sort of ****.

Smart clearly went for the nuts, but if you see the replay from the best vantage point you can tell that he hits him elsewhere. Smart has lost all the affection from the refs that he had accumulated over the years.

We're back to 7th Place.
That's the Play-In.

Amazing this guy has the job security he has.

Now it's just pray the Jays are OK

Brad obviously made the decision to have TT rather than Time Lord guard Nurkic. That's reasonable, whether or not it worked.

Another option was to play Grant and Time Lord together, with Grant on Nurkic, much as in the Denver game. But that would have been hard to stomach given how the other reserves were playing. (Romeo did get 14 minutes, however ...)

Brad also doesn't want to play Time Lord vs. small ball. What's his low confidence in Rob on defense based on?

I’m going to focus on the good, now that I’m calm.

Fournier is getting his legs back, Nesmith is awesome, and Tatum is absolutely brilliant. 128 points in the last 3 games, on 79(!!) shots. And he got a GARBAGE whistle tonight, I got on him about the turnovers, but two of them were due to him not getting called when mugged, and another when Fournier clearly got held and couldn’t get to the pass.

Anyone can see that the offense runs much smoother with RW3 in there, yet Brad is somehow back to starting TT :dontknow:

Nurkic was +24. Kanter was -20. Those facts are closely related.

This team will never improve if we have Brown Smart and Kemba playing. Especially Brown, who is a major detriment for NBA teams.

Ideally we shoot them all into the sun and build around Tatum Rob and Nesmith.

He's an idiot? Every advanced metric says Rob is every bit the defender TT if not better and far far better on offense. Tonight's game was a perfect example of their relative impact. It's simply inexcusable at this point

Play-in with likely a less-than healthy roster.
If we can get a lottery pick out of this season, plus ABUNDANT MOTIVATION for our languid/torpid/moribund franchise going into the offseason, there are worse things.
Tatum and Brown have continued to emerge and RW/PP/Fournier/Nesmith look like good pieces.

If Tatum had scored 60 points we would've won this game by 17 points. They key for us winning a championship this year is for Tatum to score 60 points every single game.

I take it you're not fond of offensive rebounding?

Gee thanks nba helps a whole lot now lol did he get like a delay of game tech or something like everyone just glazed over that he was thrown out. I thought flag 2 or two Ts was the only way to get ejected.

I didn't think the refs cost us the game per se but I still think they were outrageously bad tonight and say so as someone who usually brushes their bad reffing off. Straight up taking our points off the board wtf.

At this point with seven games left the 4th seed is probably off the table. Between the injuries and inconsistent play the fifth seed is probably not happening either.

I had them winning 38 games and being the six seed. I may have overstated that.
