One more week to go. But maybe some praising buzz out of their practices together this week?

He's LeBron combined with Carsen Edwards.

The Celtics Summer league roster has been released, and Begarin is not on it.

He is now. Wish there was intel leaking out from practice. We will see for ourselves soon enough on Sunday.

His explosive 1st step and sweet looking jumper has me sold. Not to mention that the kid is only 18, which means he can still grow from that 6'6" 214 lbs. frame.

I hope the kid shines in Summer League. I hope he makes the team despite his age. I hope he is as good as we make him out to be, nay, better even. I hope.

I hope all of that, except making the team this year. Let him develop off the contract clock one more year while we have Richardson and figure out what Romeo & Aaron are giving us.

I do, however, reserve the right to fully change this opinion based off 2-3 nice plays in SL.

Oh, 100%. I want him to stay in Europe for 1 (maybe 2) years.

Him playing in summer league is good for him to get the experience playing with some of his future teammates and going against NBA caliber competition and it's good for the team to get a better sense of what they have in this kid. Nothing more, nothing less.

That seems to be the smart move for the regular season.

However, seeing this guy’s athleticism and downhill game, and knowing how summer league can go, I would not be at all surprised to see him absolutely shred through defenses in a few games when he’s out there.

It might get some of us clamoring to bring our “steal” on board this year, but it really should just give us a taste and something to look forward to, and for Juhann to learn what his next steps are, as you say.

we joke, but let's remember he's only 18, from France and english is his 2nd language.

this is cool interview to get to know Begarin as a person. The thing that I took away from this interview is that he is very focused and driven. He's very serious, not a joking kind of guy. I don't even think he smiles once during the whole interview.

He simply wants to work hard, be the best player he can be and play in the NBA. That's it. I'm rooting for him.

Yes, very serious (though the interviewer is too). What strikes me is how much more mature and his own man he sounds at 18 than JT does at 23, considering they both come from professional basketball families.

It sounded like this week's SL practice left him and Yam scrambling to play with the young NBA vets. Even Nesmith talked about the new terminology and system to try to learn. I hope Juhann and Yam can get on top of it and show their stuff well this week.

I have no idea if he is more mature than JT given how advanced JTs skills are and how much time he put into his chosen career. Clearly, Juhann is very comfortable with himself in front of a camera. His personality would make the brain doctor happy even if Kyrie is one of his favorite NBA players. I like that he tries to model his approach to game and mentality after Westbrook. For all of Westbrook’s flaws, his competitive drive and tenacity are as good as it gets.
