Re: Luke Kornet Appreciation Thread
I've just checked, there's no social security number associated with a Luke Kornet from Kentucky. Can anybody prove that this guy ever existed?

FWIW, every team roster link on this NBA news release is working except the Celtics': https://www.nba.com/news/nba-rosters-set-for-2022-23-regular-season
I need to know! Won't be able to go on with my life until I'm sure Kornet is on/off the roster.

Finally they are embracing the NO BIG roster. I've been hoping for 15 years.
inb4 they just sign some other stiff big.

My daughter is a centre in the local Under 14s. She's just secured her roster spot for the coming season, but if they're willing to guarantee her ten minutes a game I might be able to convince her to sign...

Do you honestly think that continuity means nothing in the NBA? You think you can just plug and play guys into any system and they will perform like robots, like it's a video game?
Not to mention Zeller is more injury prone than Kornet.
It’s the 3rd string center. Kornet sucks. Lol at continuity like if he’s off team everything stops
Let’s just hope Stevens doesn’t cut Justin Jackson or the Celtics might by in the lottery
Jackson played some for the Celtics last year and was here all preseason. Jackson knows all the plays, schemes and everything.
Fingers crossed!!!!

Inb4 Luke lines up to jump as the starting center then gets pulled back to sit in the stands last second because he's not actually on the roster.

Well, first the celtics took down the page on their website with the staff directory, after the Udoka scandal news broke.
Now, if you go to the page on the site with their roster, it's blank as we all wonder if Kornet is still on the team.
Quite a start to the season for the people running the team website!

Well we will probably get the final answer during shoot around pretty soon. Again, I will be surprised if Kornet is gone.

I wonder if there has been a last-minute trade and the Celtics are waiting for approval from the league office. It makes no sense to cut Kornet unless someone else is coming in. Kornet's money is reportedly guaranteed and if the Celtics need the roster spot they can waive him anytime.

One way of reading the pre-season Kornet hype campaign would be as boosting trade value. Doesn't seem like Brad's personality, but who knows? Maybe Luke never actually sprained his ankle
What could you trade Luke Kornet for? Kornet and Pritchard aren't even enough salary for Jae Crowder (I think), and teams trading on opening night would seem maybe unprecedented, but if anyone posts the happening bunker gif I am THERE, girlfriends

The only thing Brad has ever liked on twitter was a Kornet video. He's on a cheap contract, and a decent portion of it has already been guaranteed. We need big man depth with Rob out. Not to mention Kornet was running with the starting unit to open up training camp, before rolling his ankle.
Wouldn't have made sense for Brad to waive him.

AT WHAT TIME does it become guaranteed today, though?
if Kornet gets roughed up by Embiid in the first half, does he watch the 2nd half from the stands, while Cody Zeller is spotted at Logan?

I personally think another center is on the way (Favors, Zeller etc.) and you won't see Kornet play tonight. But what do I know?

The guy with the beard and the pull back mullet who looks like the one uncle everyone in the Midwest has isn’t on the team but he’s in the pic too.
