When things were bad, guys like White and Brogs stepped up to keep the Celts within striking distance.

Obviously Tatum came a big time in the end but I don't know how you don't give the VC to White and Al

White picking up Embiid at the end of the game delayed that shot enough.

Everyone “fans” differently so it’s whatever and my opinion holds no more weight than anyone else’s but the hyperbolic everything sucks, this is a disgrace, embarrassing attitude in this place by some truly is soft.

Essentially an 8 man rotation and still feels like the guards were short changed. Probably the matchup with Embiid but White and Brog need 30+ a night

Tatum went 7-17, it seemed so much worse. Had 4 turnovers in the first half, which was tied with his points lol. He was way too passive early on, I’d rather he got 4-12 in a half rather than 2-6.

Dude is money at the end of games though.

Going jaylen and horford…horford hit key shots to get us back into it and on a run. Tatum was terrible all night but down the stretch big shots and big time playmaking but overall terrible.

Btw that last pass by smart is exactly what people mean when they say “winning plays”. Pass was thrown right where it needed to be to a spot with no delay. Good thing we didn’t bench him and jt huh

In an alternate universe, Sixers wouldn’t cut the double digit lead since JT/Smart didn’t come back in and we wouldn’t need that gamewinner but not gonna argue that. We won and that’s all that matters in the end.

Also, our offense with the starters in still sucked.

I don’t give a damn about single game +/- really, but every starter was at least -6 except for Rob who was +10.

Smart was -22 lmao, but I don’t care, he made a great pass late.

Not every game is perfect, wish more people understood this

Celtics won is spite of their coach. I am concerned he could derail them in POs.

White and AL by far the best players tonight.

Looking at the +/- figures reminds us that the Cs have a much better bench than most other teams.

As for VC -- the box score suggests White had a tremendous game, and my eyes agree.

But the other vote is harder. Al had that amazing stretch in the 3rd, during which he was also quite active on defense, shutting down some Philly drives but also committing a couple of fouls. Aside from that and his one last 3pter, he was pretty ineffective -- but Embiid is a very tough cover.

Timelord had a great stat line, but Joe chose not to use him in key moments.

Jaylen had that great stretch in the 4th, and was lame but not horrid offensively otherwise. Defensively, he rarely was responsible for either of the only two Sixers who had good offensive nights (Embiid and Harris).

Brogdon uncharacteristically looked a little clumsy to my eye, and didn't do much on the stat sheet (except some defensive rebounds, but some of those should have been shared w/ White). He did help stymie the Sixers' guards, however.

So it's between Jaylen and Timelord for me for the other vote.

In the end, it was Smart and Tatum making the winning play despite most of us wanting them benched in the 4th.
