He didn't try to block a Sixer player from making a running tear drop shot. Rob just backed away while the player was driving forward. I have no idea why he didn't try to jump and block the shot, its just weird cause he usually try to block everything that comes his way...not this time. Maybe this "no defense" thing is contagious.

Or he's not quite back from pre-injury Rob. You can see he's feeling better than he has in a long time though. And he's active enough to make things happen despite whatever single play it is you're talking about.

No more having Al on an island against Harden. Whenever Harden is in the game and Embiid is not, they need to go with 1 of 2 lineups. They can play double big, and when the screen comes to isolate Al, blitz Harden with the double. Take Harden out of the play, be aggressive to force turnovers, and have Rob protect the rim. Attack the bearded sob. Or, go small with the Jays and 3 guards and switch everything. With no Embiid, Philly will not crush them on the boards. Let Grant get a few minutes when Harden sits.

This team just can't do anything easy. We should be used to it by now but it still sucks to watch.

I still believe they're the best team but I really wish they'd show up and play like it consistently. I keep thinking they'll learn their lesson and they keep saying they've learned their lesson, but then they show us they didn't learn anything. Time is running out on the mulligans, ya big dopes.

If we end up winning a championship after this rollercoaster it will be even more satisfying though. Like with anything in life, the harder something is the more fulfilling it is when you accomplish it. Go C's and all that.

Lets face it for whatever reason(s) there might be we simply never know what kind of Celtics team we're going to get. Never.

One thing seems abundantly clear to me though is that Rob is a better option on the floor than Al is. Use Al to rest him, but good things happen when he's out there. They can start there at least. That much should be easy to see. He's also feeling pretty good. That's easy to see also.

I commented on that last year and how they went to magic level with him out there when they were alley-ooping him to death. But he was active and the team seems to surge with him in. Some of the best most awesome basketball I've ever seen. He's not there right now but he's a sizeable percentage closer. I say Rob is the key.

Unfortunately, Timelord doesn't shoot threes. Big no-no in Mazulla's live by the three offense.
