Something is going on with him. He looked sloppy and lazy for the first time yesterday. Hope he's get his personal stuff sorted so he can return soon.

Here's the difference, wanting Joe gone is fantasy, but asking JB to make better decisions is doable.

For someone who is lauded as a smart human being, Jaylen Brown can be a very dumb basketball player.

It's his last year on the Celtics so we just have another 7 months of him.

Outside the wizards game, he’s yet to have an explosive game like we are used to seeing in the past.

He’s been absolutely dreadful. Can’t make free throws. Can’t shoot threes even though he has the cleanest looks. Can’t dribble can’t pass. Zero improvement in all areas. Forget improvement, he’s been trending down this season. Been our 5th best player on the team so far and easily the least impactful starter.

I don’t know what the **** Jrue is doing on offense as of late. Great defense some savory late game plays but some really head scratching stuff late that kills the team. Needs to be better especially as that vet

Tatum needs to be more aggressive and needs to stop looking so timid late. No need to slow it down when the game is tight and taking contested shots. Just **** play your game like you were doing in the second quarter. This slowing down crap is still a problem.

Yeah all the praise he's been getting this season has been focused on what he is not doing. Good job Jaylen, you are not shooting as much! Good job Jaylen you don't dribble so much. Well, if he wasn't on the team he wouldn't be shooting or dribbling for us at all.

Holiday was terrible and the only two people that really brought it tonight was PP and Tatum.

Like I said in the game thread Brown might have the worst contract in the NBA and I can't wait until he's moved next year.

Who on earth would take that contract? He's a pure scorer with no playmaking, passing or dribbling ability.

I’ve said it before, but I have much more faith in the coaching staff than I do in Joe lol.

Please no longer use the "different here" mantra. We still lose to awful teams, and Joe is not good in OT (4-9 record now).

Playing stupid is one thing and missing free throws is another.

Jrue Holiday makes bad decisions sometimes, but man. Man.

Free throws. Tatum too although he had a great first half.

We actually had a game where Pritchard wasn't trash and lost. 9 point lead 2 minutes to go and lost.

I'm ok not calling timeout in the 3rd or whatever but down the stretch was just stupid like why??

Hayward on this team instead of JB would be so amazing.

This is another game where the Celtics were not at their best.

But this was still a won game if Jrue made his FTs.

Celts got another chance in OT, but JB took an ill-advised 3 with 30 seconds remaining and the score tied at 116 all.

Frustrating and disappointing, but this is just one of only 17 potential losses.

The opportunity to trade JB next year excites me just as much if not more than the opportunity to win a title this year.

A pure scorer averaging 21 points a game on below league average efficiency.

Joe Mazzulla needs to be fired. He cares more about a meaningless play in a 30 point game than he does about one that could actually win or lose a game.

Tatum with the worst 40 point game I've seen in a long time. His lazy ass offense in the third have the Hornets life.

Brown played stupid hero ball, but that's to be expected.

Pathetic all around except for PP and KP.

White = ball movement. Without White it's way more team ISO

I don't think Joe is a good coach at all but this isn't on him at all either.

Green89 wrote:How bad was that deep Brown three in overtime? And Jrue missing the two free throws was bad. But maybe worst of all, in a game where Tatum had 31 in the first half, he only scored 10 points in the second, and did not look for his shot at all in crunch time. He had one layup attempt that didn't go in. Stars and those wanting to be MVP have to step up at the end of close games. Tatum did not tonight.

Yup once again Tatum let others be ball dominant/take shots to start the second half. I think he had 1 shot attempt in the first 8 minutes of the third…like when you are hot like that, you need to continue being aggressive especially when others are struggling. Not sure why Tatum has quarters where he defers too much. Yeah we have talent but this is your team lol nobody should bat an eye if you ball hogged when you were carrying the offense. Tatum loses his hot touch the time he doesn’t get involved for a large stretch of the quarter.

Jaylen, Jrue and Joe all bad tonight. Jrue has been annoying as **** to watch lately. Turnovers and he isn’t scoring especially well.

Jaylen is always Jaylen, but somehow worse this year. Our 300 million dollar man is honestly unlikely to even sniff an all star game this year.

Almost happened last night, too but this is another classic example of a mazzulla team playing down, disinterested and just shrinking in overtime. 4-9 is he now? Crazy.

Who knew the cog to this whole machine was Derrick White.

Poor performance.

Anyone ranting about us having a big lead late etc. Well the signs we weren’t going to win this were there from the start of the second half if the Hornets were able to make plays and they did.

Tatum and Pritchard were the only players hitting shots.

They pretty much managed to shut Tatum out after halftime because nobody else was hitting shots consistently.

Defensively they were crap.

Second night of a back to back against a young scrappy team.

Not an ideal loss but I’m not going to say the world is ending.

Some of you need to chill.

Jaylen Brown needs to wake up and start earning his money.

Lastly, WTF is with Tatum’s free throw shooting this season? It’s been flat out mediocre for someone of his talent.

Also on FTs, Porzingis was awful from the stripe. Clearly wasn’t our night.
