White is generally regarded as superior to Jaylen in defense, passing, ball handling, and decision making. His shooting has even been more accurate than Jaylen's recently.

So the answers probably lie somewhere in those areas.

Also, weren't they together on a weak Team USA in 2019? Maybe they left some impressions then.

Jrue and Derrick are absolutely perfect fits. Both role players with no ego and don’t need the ball in their hands to make an impact.

Think Brown declined a while ago — would have been cool to see this trio wreck havoc on defense together.

They're now a third of the way to just inviting the top 10 on the NBA championship team, which might give them the best chance of winning every four years.

I thought the word was he had other commitments this summer and would be unavailable for the Olympics.

Looks like it’s true since he’s in Mecca. Not dismissing the fact that it may be a coincidence, they are rumors at the end of the day.

Even in the Olympics it's about who fits best with the other players on the team and therefore contributes the most to the team's success. They're loaded up with aging legends and need someone heady and humble to play hard and contribute to it working overall.

Jaylen makes sense over Booker or Hali, but I'd rather add Derrick for this spot. Need glue guys that won't need to take many shots. Adds another creator too.
