Voted KP for VC. Team for CP. brown and Jt played great. White, kornet and jrue played good. KP is clearly a game changer against the heat. Butler had a hard time pump faking inside and foul baiting against KP. We had a counter to Bam with all those mid ranges by KP. Good win on the road.

The shooting will probably never happen again but the decision-making was brilliant on the offensive end.

Still, if Spoelstra was coaching we probably lose this game.

The ball movement was great hard to know what to take out of this game. We still struggled a bit with their zone. I feel like they didn’t really target or bench players and pick and rolls but nice victory over a team we needed to beat.

Team feel different.

From the kill shots tonight against those cultured losers and the Lukas.

To that ugly masterpiece against Houston.

Three wildly different games that could go differently in the past.

Jays were horrid against H town and team missed tons of 3s yet we had 31 assists on 42 made baskets. Just crazy.

Two way dominant 30 balls against Dallas with great team d.

And just a thorough team wide scraping of the heat to cap it off.

Out of the 1,322 games played in the NBA this season, the 149.0 offensive rating the Celtics put up was the 2nd highest, topped only by the offensive rating recorded by the Celtics in Sacramento a month ago. Cs now own 3 of the top 5 offensive performances in the league this season, all coming on the road.

The 80.5% true shooting % of the Celtics in this game is 2nd best in all of NBA recorded history, slightly edged out by Jazz's 80.8% in 2021.
Spoiler:
Read on Twitter

While that was the best offensive rating of the Heat in two weeks, the Cs handed them their first five-game losing streak in almost 3 years and their 7th worst home loss all-time.

KP and White are wildly underrated. Both of them are all-stars, who actually play all-nba defense... Crazy.
I even think Jrue could get the all-star nod if he was the 3rd option.
KP is having a CRAZY efficient season... crazy..
To me if Jaylen/Jayson/KP and White are healthy, we should win it all. Anything else is a BUST.
Good assessment:

KP doesn't need to jump to block Butler...

The Heat are just not talented enough to win it all.

This generation of Miami Heat basketball reminds me of the IT led Celtics of 2017.
Good enough to go deep into the playoffs, but never good enough to win it all.

Last season the Heat just exploited a flaw in the Celtic offense.
That's why the Cs got frozen in crunch time.

But the Cs fixed that flaw by adding KP and Jrue.

Cs already beat the Heat twice this season.

This is not a fluke.

What the Cs did in this game is sustainable agriculture.

Since Miami has embraced their so-called Heat agriculture, the Cs are now harvesting the fruits of Brad's hard work in the offseason.

Miami desperately tried everything to confuse the Cs in this game.
They were sometimes going man, sometimes going zone, but to no avail.

What the Cs did was letting KP doing the plowing and the rest of the Celtics irrigated the Heat with 3-pointers.

All three of White, KP and Jrue are borderline all-stars. 2 actually made the game recently.

I'm OK with any of the 6 guards voted over White actually being chosen over him. I'd also be OK with him being chosen over a couple of them. I wouldn't be OK with anybody I can think of voted below him leapfrogging ahead -- even Jrue.

Bottom 5 is a bit harsh. I've got Joe in a battle for the #16 spot.

Just to bring everyone back to earth, in the past, when the Celtics have disappointed against Miami,

the Celtics shot sh*t from 3 while the Heat scorched from 3. A few posters expressed they don't think that can happen again.

Unlikely as it is, it is how they've beaten the Celtics in the past, and the one vulnerability that will always be there.

Fair. Tough to put him higher than 11th:

Malone
Carlisle
Lue
Jenkins
Spoelstra
Finch
Daigneault
Nurse
Popovich
Hardy

And a bunch of other guys have arguments over him too, such as Kerr, Udoka, Brown, Vogel or Thibs.

That's because the Cs have no low post threat in the past.

Al and Rob were just not scoring enough inside for the Heat to take them seriously.

That changed when the Cs got KP.

In this game, when Butler or any small Heat player ended up with KP, KP just shot over them and scored.

What the Cs have now that they didn't have last season:
1. KP
2. Jrue
3. JT's improved post up game
4. JB's improved passing

It's just not the same Celtics team.

Last season I truly believed the Cs would have lost to the Nuggets in the finals.

This season is a different story.
