I'm not expecting much from Craig, but if the bar is just Sam Hauser, it's not a high bar.

I won't be surprised if by playoff time he's more useful than Sam.

Not that big a fan. Anything goes wrong I’m blaming it on this guy.

This take is so wrong.

This take is so wrong.

Last postseason Sam averaged 15 minutes per game and 5 pts per game.

I'm a Sam Hauser guy, but there's no denying Sam is a one trick pony on offense.

Sam's defense and rebounding is good enough, but his inability to drive to the basket or finish strong at the rim makes him so predictable on offense.

If his 3s are not falling, what else does he do well on offense?

Can’t believe Torrey Craig will become the first player from Columbia, South Carolina to become an NBA champion.

He was literally the only guy that showed up in Game 4 of the finals, Sam is not the issue on this team.

Craig on the other hand is a career below average volume, below average efficiency scorer who’s shot nearly 80% of his FGA this year from three. He’s the epitome of 3+D not some dynamic offensive guy, basically a less annoying Grant Williams.

Like I said, Sam is not a problem.

Sam is just limited and there's nothing wrong with that.

Craig on the other hand has a golden opportunity right now.

If Craig makes open 3s, can play the dunker spot, and score on cuts to the basket, he would be more useful than Sam.

But that remains to be seen.

He will not do that. Joining a team that takes more threes than any team in history, Craig would currently rank 12th on the team in terms of % of his FGA which are taken at the rim.

Edit: ok apparently he hasn't played at all this year so none of his stats from this year mean anything at all lol. Still first post golds he's not a big scorer at all. Also why hasn't he played at all this year - benched or hurt?

He has played more playoff minutes than players 8-13 on our roster combined. So if you're looking for someone Joe could possibly trust to insert for a few minutes in the postseason, Craig's your guy.

Craig's less famous fastbreak dunk attempt...

After watching 5 minutes of highlights, my takeaway is he is Gianni’s’ Daddy.

One thing that I envy other teams is the plethora of athletic guys they throw at us all over the place
We have PP, Hauser, Al and Kornet off the bench. The epitome of athletic players

Maybe this signing will provide some more athleticism
I just hope is defense is better than Hauser's right now. I think Hauser's injury is bothering him everyday. He fell off a cliff defensively

In defense of Sam, he once showed a tiny glimmer of hope of an upgrade to his offensive game back in the pre-season. But, the back spasms happened. IMO, he's trying to get his rhythm back and if it's going back to being a spot a shooter than I guess it is what it is. To me it's obvious the bench has zero consistent rotations and Sam having the back issue is a big factor in that. Last season it was a lock that him and PP were gonna get 20+mpg each game and that was for practically every game because Sam only missed 3 games and PP played all 82.

It's a long season, health is the most important thing because in the playoffs it's gonna be the horses plus AL with PP and hopefully a healthy Sam sprinkled in.

Nobody will beat this team in a 7 game series

Yeah this team def prioritizes skill/size/strength/mobility over pure athleticism.

He's not playing on the Cavs.
