Ever see him around, or is that the big development over there?

My buddy was at some random house party and apparently saw Lucky (or I guess at this point he was "Damon") I wish I still had the picture but it was definitely him. Standing by the keg sipping his drink, it was hilarious.

I don't know if this is true, but I heard he got drunk took a swing at Jo Jo White during the Celtics Christmas Party. That might explain why he was fired too.

I heard he got fired beacuse he was pimping out the celtics cheerleaders for "favors", around the garden. Such as a bigger studio to get ready and things of that nature.LOL

That would be my wife (I'm Athanacropolis' brother)...but it was OK, I was there and it was very good-natured...I'm also twice his size so he knew better

I can't believe some people here like Willie Maye...he's a **** useless tool!

Well, mascots do that all the time. They see an attractive girl and they are all over them. So I don't think something like that is a big deal, although it would have been pretty funny to see him get punched out by a fan.

I don't know if I ever "liked" Willie Maye per se, but he was utterly harmless. He wasn't the brightest bulb in the box but he wasn't an annoying twat like Felger, Tanguay, Dickerson, etc. He just came off as an affable, good-natured guy that probably didn't know as much about the NBA as others in a similar position. Look at how many people drooled over Hazel Mae; she wasn't any better knowledge-wise.

Your comparing Willie to Hazel Mae??? Thats not helping you lol Willie is the biggest tool in the whole td banknorth garden me and my friends will go to the games and just laugh when we see him. Hes pretty hilarious how he dresses like the players and goes all out the sad thing is I dont think he means to be funny.

Really? I didn't know that. I've always liked you two as posters, it is funny finding out that you are related.

You guys should challenge Cwitch and Cfan in a 2 on 2 pick-up game. :P

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. Coach (coach of what) Willie Maye brings absolutely nothing to the table. I also think he might be a little down on his luck. He used to be all dressed up in a suit for the games and looked like a professional. Now he wears sweats, headbands and doesn't even bother to shave. He was also mysteriously absent from the C's organization for a couple of years. Im not sure what happened but he definitely wasn't around.

I drove by his place the other day and didn't notice anything weird to report back on. Sorry.

He was probably in his basement beating Willie with a bag of oranges.

Yes indeed, we are brothers...I'm the older one!

We'd win against cfan and cwitch...we're both big guys (I'm 6'5", Athanacropolis is 6'3") 8-)

I always called him the Ahmad Rashad of Fox Sports New England, except he didn't have a Jordan figure to have an unrequited man-crush on...Now Greg Dickerson carries on the tradition of moron who doesn't know **** about sports giving us such cutting edge commentary from the sideline as "I talked to so-and-so after he broke his knee and asked him how it felt, and he said it hurt"...wow, what insight!

I agree, he seemed to disappear...he was on FSNE, then he was gone, then all of a sudden he's wearing warm-ups and a head-band interviewing people during timeouts at the games...what a loser! I can just see him going home at night to a dingy rat-infested apartment in the basement of some building in his warm-ups, taking them off and sitting on the edge of the bed with the TV set as the only light, mumbling to himself "great job tonight, Coach, great job..." before he passes out on the bed amidst the stench of stale piss, dirty laundry, and last night's Burger King trash...
