I like Green more than most, and I do honestly think he wanted to stay. But, I like the Celtics more than I like any individual player, and, same as with Rondo, I think it's the right thing to do at this point to move on and get something back for a player who won't be here by the time we're relevant, and is taking minutes from those who will. We could do worse by him than sending him to one of the best teams in the league.

As long as the deal involves Adams and doesn't involve Pondexter, I'll be happy with it. If Ainge can wrestle away a pick on top of that, so much the better.

Off to work now. Hope to see it's done by the time I get out.

I would be ok with Prince and a first rounder or Prince and Jordan Adams.

Anything less than that 2019 first rounder will be a huge dissapointment!!!

Ainge is finally getting with the program, Sixers got Embiid, Knicks may get Okafor and both are in the Atlantic division. Wright is on the trade block and is being told so, Nelson continues to be inactivated and could work on a buyout.. In the mean time if he continues to sit games the better.

And frankly I wouldn't be surprised if Green is pulled out of tonights game vs the Pacers. Then find new homes for Thornton and Bass.

If this trade goes down, I hope we don't have to take Pondexter's contract back . He has 11M left on his deal after this season, plus he will be another guy with no future on our team that Brad will be forced to play.

I am still hoping for Green for Prince + Adams or future 1st but kinda feels it will be more something like Green + Turner for Prince, Pondexter, Adams and a 2nd

Edit: Green and Turner have the same agent

If it happens, Memphis was the most obvious spot for him to land. A lot of us having been saying this for years now. He's the PERFECT fit over there. 10x the player Prince and Carter are right now when he actually sets his mind to it. Funny thing is we probably won't get much for the guy, which means Memphis will add a solid player, one of the missing pieces to their team basically for free. Western Conference teams must hate Danny because dude just gave away two pretty significant pieces to strengthen two big time Western Conference powerhouses. lol

Let the James Young era begin.

I wonder it trading for Noel could be our best bet, if Philly doesn't think he can coexist with Embiid and/or they get Okafor.

I'm hoping it's Prince and Adams. But that means we either have to trade someone along with Green or out right cut someone so the trade can go through. Wonder who it would be? Pressey seems like the most obvious candidate.

On the other hand...now its still time for someone to jump in and offer something better. Toront, Portland, Charlote...

Stein mentioned a hurdle for Boston - I wonder if it's the roster spot.

We don't have space to do a Green for Prince and Adams move and Ainge probably doesn't want to have to cut anyone if he can find a home for them in trade.

I'd be willing to sweeten the pot a bit to make this happen. Maybe a 2nd rounder or two?

Just buyout Nelson or le me say, he opts out of his 2015/16 option and he is free to go!

Brandan Wright an option salary wise?

Grizz struggling with their big man rotation with Zach Randolph injured.

I would guess Prince would get bought out straight away, yes? He'd be picked up on the cheap quickly I think.

They should make a condition he doesn't go to the Clips.

Yeah, I think he's bought out but I believe we still need to make a roster spot for the trade to legally go through.

Most likely scenario that would make people happy? Plus a draft pick maybe?

@ZachLowe_NBA: yes RT @HerringtonNBA: Educated guess is Jeff Green deal to Griz has slightly better than even odds of happening.

Return to Boston Celtics
