Well that's kind of Steven's system. As long as the looks are open anyone can chuck away, we'll just have to wait and see if it works with a fully healthy squad.

This is Gordon's night he's getting his ass booed and this team can't take some pride and get his back. At least play some D.
Hayward needs to start making some shots as well. He does that the crowd may quiet down.

I feel like I live on a different planet sometimes, lol.
Smart's had some damn rough stretches of offense in past years but i'm not seeing it this year. Granted he still isn't a great shooter but the way hes playing on offense is definitely doing more to open things up than the other way around

If Smart regresses on defense chalk up that contract as horrendous going forward

He is a chucker. He just happen to be hitting those shots last year.

I'm pretty pro-Smart but personally I still fail to understand why he continues to take shots that everyone knows he shouldn't take. Other people's limitations aren't, as a general matter, intentionally self-inflicted.
He should shoot open 3s. He shouldn't shoot contested 3s with time on the shot clock. He'd be a lot more valuable than he already is if he stopped this insanity.

Tatum needs to do more of that regardless is he misses. He's shooting like 30% mid range anyway

We're on the verge of getting blown out.

I think it's clear he's just been searching for his rhythm. Tonight with more touches and shots he seems to be much more in rhythm. He's played much much better tonight.
He's just taking better shots. Shoot 3s, attack the rim, go to the post and ask for the ball. That shouldn't change no matter who is around him.
I agree it shouldn't change who is around him. All I'm saying is Stevens should make sure Tatum gets the touches and shots every game. Make sure he doesn't go 5-6 possessions in a row without touching the ball, then maybe he won't feel the need to go iso the one time he actually touches it. Tonight he is much more involved in the offense and playing much better in it.
I agree 100%. It seems the whole team is worried about getting X shots every game. The best offense drives and passes, looking for the best shot, regardless of who takes the shot and shots come naturally, in the flow. This team, so far, has not been playing that way.
It is concerning.
