C's now have the "elite" talent that many people cried about Ainge not trading for and are in much better shape because of it.

I will say this about BannersOnly: his posts may not have left me feeling like I knew more about NBA basketball most of the time, but they did always leave me craving breakfast.

His ceiling is limitless. I just hope he stays in Boston when he reaches it and doesn't bolt to LA NY or Miami.

Tatum is Brad's Duncan. Duncan played 4 seasons at Wake before being drafted by the Spurs....He came into the league at 22 and Pop got his guy. The rest is history. Tatum is turning 22 next week. so the path has been different, but starting right now Brad officially has his Duncan. The Era is only now beginning. The Era of being a perennial title contender.

Enjoy!

If he only scores 32 next game, I think it's fair to say that he's coming back down to earth.

Gorman said a few weeks ago in his weekly interview with Toucher & Rich that, while we talk about how we're going to match up with Giannis, other teams are starting to wonder how they're going to match up with Tatum. He has literally been the most un-guardable player in the league for the past month. He scores whenever he wants, on whoever he wants, however he wants. It's incredible to watch.

You mean other teams are worried about a player who's 21 years old (I can still say that for a few more days!), 6-9, hitting half his three point attempts, completely unguardable in isolation, knows how to run the pick and roll, plays lockdown defense against elite players at multiple positions, and plays on the same team as three other quality scorers and an all-defensive first teamer? Who would have figured? 8-)

That completely changes our chances in the post season. If Tatum gets the attention he’s getting now against a team like the Bucks it makes it so much easier for everyone else around him especially Kemba.

Tatum is elite already, but also a very durable player.

It will be interesting when Kemba comes back. I'm assuming shot attempts go down. Doesn't really matter. Ainge's job is to make Tatum happy enough to be a Celtic for life. He can be a closer and that is the hardest thing to get in the game. I just want to see what happens in the playoffs. I don't care if he doesn't always get it done. I want him with the ball taking the biggest shots and learning how to make plays if he's trapped. A pecking order needs to be set and he is the one even over Kemba because no matter what Kemba's size isn't going get off shots as easily or consistently as Tatum.

It's fun because yeah while Tatums three ball will cool off some, Kemba coming back is going to make Tatum way more dangerous.

Tatum is turning into a player that you could engineer your team around. You could get some elite role players that function to help him get even more shots - like 22-25 per game - and floor spacers to punish double teams. Hope Ainge never goes that route but I think Tatum has oroven to be that good when he plays with 4 bench players.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I don't think he has improved too much his skills, it's more like mentally and his determination, he is more focused, takes faster decisions, don't think his moves and in this way he use all his talent. It's a good sign that this has happened early in his career, some stars or even superstars like Lebron or KD need a lot of years to mature mentally and get that killer instinct.

Jayson Tatum envisioned a plan more than a year ago. He's been executing that plan ever since. Only coronavirus can stop him now.
