Good lord.

It's been all fun and games **** on Kyrie's antics since he left here, but honestly, calling working people "pawns" is super insulting

I understand what he’s trying to do here, and if we are all being honest - Woj’s article on him before the bubble started was a targeted hit ordered by Lebron and his cronies.

I don’t care if Kyrie never speaks to the media again. It’s a win-win for the world, really. He doesn’t get himself into trouble by shutting up, and the rest of the world doesn’t have to listen to him pretending to be smart.

Really hope this Brooklyn team implodes. Between Kyrie and KD, I would love it.

What a **** loser man child. I bumped into this clown one time and he evokes such nasty energy even just walking past him in a hallway. So glad he is gone.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, that won't be the case. He'll refuse to talk to the media directly but he'll continue to take pot shots at them and generally share his BS with the world via Twitter, etc...

I gotta say - as someone who never liked Kyrie on or off-court, the venom here is really satisfying.

I don't like Kyrie as a person but I sorta get where he's coming from with the "pawns" comment. The NBA is a rigged league in bed with Lebron, China and the media. He views his contributions as a player as pure or as an art form. He just doesn't want to be part of the theater any longer, especially since the powers that be have turned on him and ridicule him, whether deserved or not. And it IS theater.

Kyrie should go hoop at the YMCA with no fans then. lmao 'in bed with LeBron, China, and the media.' The Nets are owned by a **** Chinese billionaire.

No ****, it's entertainment. You can't reap the benefits of the entertainment side without playing along. That's asinine. "Oh I just want to make half a billion dollars from age 20 to 35 without doing any of the things that allow this league to maintain that financial standing."

This dude has never been mated by a pawn? Gimme a break.

Gonna be a fun as hell season. Kyrie, KD, Dinwiddie all absolutely insane humans with zero self-awareness.

Even Mike Gorman inferred similar.

I don't know about anything else y'all are talking about, but it's a problem that y'all think y'all own celebrities/entertainers. His on court performance is what we pay for. He doesn't owe any of us anything. I think he should talk to the media, it's a part of his job, but I also think the owners/NBA have a responsibility to have the media keep it about his job instead of always trying to pull out headlines.

Kyrie has issues and there is no question, the media/we try to exploit them. People would rather see him lose his **** than see him do what he thinks is best for himself, because you think of him as property/superhuman instead of a flawed human like the rest of us. I don't care if they give him a billion dollars, he's still a human!

You don't have to like him, I'm not a fan myself, but some of this vitriol is out of pocket. I don't care what any of you say, y'all are taking things too far on kyrie and it's sickening to see. Step back, look at it, he hasn't hurt you!

Can you give an example of what you consider vitriol or sickening? Because I don't agree with your premise at all. I don't think of him as property and I surely don't think of him as superhuman. He's a flawed human who says stupid stuff. And I'm not allowed to make fun of that stupid stuff and him for saying it? **** that.

I mean, the media can be annoying but he called them pawns.

These are people doing their jobs. Working people. Calling them pawns while you make 30+ mil isn't good.

Kyrie is someone that has clear mental health issues, but that shouldn't excuse him for being a dick. That simple.

He can do whatever he wants, he's just an insane person with zero self awareness. There is no NBA with no media coverage. So if you want to be some dumbass like Kyrie and not talk to the media, and talk about playing this sport for the purity of it, the art of it, etc., you just aren't being very reasonable. If you want to play the sport for the purity of it or whatever, quit the NBA and go play with some guys at LA Fitness. I have no vitriol with Kyrie; I think he's hilarious.

He owes none of us anything, but if he wants to be paid half a billion dollars in his lifetime from a sport that is only that large because of obligations he doesn't want to partake in, he's a **** ****. But again, I don't really care, I just enjoy some of the **** he says because none of it is based in reality.

You can say what you want because i certainly will. I don’t have to sit here and repost the thousand kyrie posts, you can find them yourself. You don’t have to agree with how i feel about what y’all have been saying. A lot of the things being said really have nothing to do with him not wanting to speak to the media nor his many other issues a lot of y’all seem mad about something else otherwise your comments don’t fit with what he’s actually doing. It’s has gone beyond petty many times! You can say it’s not about ownership/entitlement but it reads that way TO ME.

If he really cared he could take the 25k and donate himself to a charity. Or you know use the platform you have with the media to address social issues that you care about. He just so self absorbed.
