Wild, if true.
Celtics currently have an active 105-game streak IINM.

What you say now? This has to be fake! How is this not touted in every debate on GOAT? This seems unbelievable. Need to see more sources because I’m not going to do any research.

Fact check: TRUE!

I wonder if people back then wondered if they were battle-tested enough each time they made their title run. They did have a 4-losses-in-5-games stretch in 1992-93 and at least three 3-losses-in-4-games in 1997-98. You can consider that "adversity" and if that were Celtics RGM, we would've panicked and traded/fired everybody.

Soft! Fake championships! They didn’t lose enough!! Easy roads every season!!!!!!

Seriously though, that is amazing! That’s true domination to be that consistent. If I was a Jordan fan and I was in the goat debates, this would be a little nugget I would never let slip without mentioning.

Impressive. The France buzzer beater in handball against Egypt was amazing but the USA women’s rugby game ender to win Bronze was the best so far.

Awesome announcing moment -- the French fans were singing the Marseileise, so the announcer said "This is like a scene from Casablanca."

If you somehow don't know the reference, it's:

Many of those actors, including the woman in the closeups, were actually from France or other Nazi-infested countries.

I think there's an obvious pun for Yoda and rugby.

Googling suggests that surprisingly few people have thought of it before me.

Do’s and do not’s is too hard to keep score of.

That's why Yoda was incorrect.

Speaking of rugby -- I did not know that proper technique on an inbounds throw includes lifting your teammate into the air so that they can catch a high toss.

The mixed medley swim relay was interesting. Half the finalist teams, including the two best, chose to have men swimming the first two legs (backstroke and breast stroke). Australia, however, put a man on butterfly, I think at the expense of backstroke.

My swimming technique was never good enough to let me reliably assess the mix of upper body and lower body effort across the various strokes, but it certainly felt like a freestyle flutter kick was pretty powerful, while my breast stroke frog kick didn't feel like it was doing much at all.

Being there live I can confirm the USA rugby try was pretty wild. Spare a thought for the Autralians losing the bronze medal in that fashion. Especially since the only reason they are in that game in the firt place is an epic collapse after being in complete control of their semi final. They'll have nightmares about the way those two games finished for the rest of their lives.

EDIT: The highlight of the Olympics for me (and most french people) was the team final in Judo. France came back from 3-1 to tie the match at 3-3 before a random drawing decided who would compete in the tiebreaker. Just listen to the roar of the crowd when the results of the random draw are announced and it falls on Teddy Riner who is both the most popular sports figure in France and the greatest judoka ever. The rest is history:

Awesome you saw that Rugby match live! Also I'd never heard of Teddy Riner until catching some Judo at work last week. He is a beast!

Post-Lebron, the Heat's only been a top 4 seed in the East twice! That surprised me.

Most top 4 seed finishes in the East during Brad Stevens era:
• BOS - 7x
• TOR - 7x
• MIL - 6x
• CLE - 6x
• PHI - 5x
