my guess is they're working on an Okafor/Saric deal

Okafor is a bit of a slug, but super risky for Philly to bank on Embiid. I'd hold on to Okafor for now, and think hard on dealing Noel first. He's the first that needs to be paid.

What's the price? Rozier/Smart? BKN pick? MEM/LAC 1sts?

Not sure they are "banking on Embiid" with Noel/Simmons projecting as the starters. Would also assume Jerebko would go into such a transaction, since his range and defensive versatility would be a big time fit.

I know for certain they prefer to trade Okafor as they see Noel's ability to defend in space as preferable for mitigating Simmons indifference defensively.

No idea what an Okafor/Saric would cost, but it covers a lot of the bases in terms of Ainge's stated team needs.

Saric only makes sense IMO if he is replacing KO and we are getting value for KO elsewhere. He might be better or worse (I feel more comfortable with KO Saric doesn't sound/seem much better and is purportedly hotheaded like Boogie), but these guys have the same general strengths and weaknesses on the court and we won't rebound so well pairing either with Horford. I am not sure Okafor is a great complement to Horford, but he was my pick for #1 overall last season and I should arguably trust my instinct despite his disappointing season last year which arguably confirmed some concerns about him. Since '93, Greg Oden, Kevin Love, and Antawn Jamison are the only other collegiate freshmen to average 15+ ppg, 8+ RPG, 60+% from the field (ETA inside the arc), and 1+ block per game. I want the rights to Korkmaz - Saric's teammate overseas - in any deal with Philly...

Now, if Okafor and Saric are going to Sacramento...

I have doubts Okafor could handle Boston. We tend to be an angry bunch with much higher expectations than Philadelphia.

Higher expectation sure, angrier? No way, Philly is a **** hole of a city full of nothing but hatred and violence.

Thought it was maybe an informed guess, one of those legendary blurrings of insider information, inference and speculation :)

Getting Saric would make a lot of sense.. Wonder if we could deal Bradley/Rozier/Jerebko to Philly and use the cleared salary to take back Gay.

Man, what a pathetic life you live to have such hatred for any entire city.

Meaning this has some legs right? It makes sense after Wyc´s comments on the value drop of a player from draft night til now combined with the report stating that Okafor is sick of seeing his name dangled in trade rumors in the last month.

Okafor makes sense and I hope he comes here...but I must admit I am intrigued by Saric

Amir/Young/Mickey/future 1sts for Gallo and Nurkic? :D Would give us shotmaking, interior D.

I love how Gallo has had a tough time staying healthy for a whole season, yet he is playing for Italy in the offseason.

Not as sad as reading the truth and not just realizing it's just the truth with no emotional attachment to it.

It's not easy to be in Philly.

Philly has its fair share of issues but it's cool. I love living here.

People who have never lived here have a bad impression of the city for good reason though. I visited here for years before moving here and thought it was a **** hole.
