Missed the game and forgot to record. Not gonna happen again. But I always said about Edwards - he can score in this league. He can score in bunches off the bench. For him it seems it's all about confidence and a quick release. He can play.

How is it that Yam doesn't have 3 or 4 steals? He didn't get credit for any in todays game. WTHUH?

This is what I was thinking, how much can Boston send to a team that trades for EDWARDS?
Can Boston trade $3 million and Edwards to OKC for a TOP 59 protected 2nd rounder?

Ask your archrival Hal14 what side I've been on in the Pritchard/Madar argument. I've been all about Pritchard. And in the same post you cherrypicked for the stuff you didn't like, I actually said that he would've had a double-double had he been on the floor with better talent. He's got nothing left to learn in Summer League. He's better than the other guys there and he's more consistent. In what way am I "hating" here. What I'm saying is that he's not an "on-the ball, break your man off the dribble" playmaker. That's not what he does. He's a complementer, not an amplifier. That's not a slight. It's why he works so well with the Jay's and why he's going to fit so well next to Al Horford. Pritchard makes other players look good, not the other way around.

I agree. Romeo should be dominating already, yet he looked like a rookie out there. I don’t really expect anything from him anyways. Pritchard was good. I like the energy of Yam. Think he could develop into a good rotational player soon, if given the chance. Plus he’s listed 6’3. A good solid height for a pg.

BCGM the reason we come down hard is because when we look at where a thread gets derailed, it's more often than not a post of yours calling out "haters" (real or imaged) or other such persecution complex crap. This is a board to discuss C's basketball, not a d***-measuring contest. If you prefer the latter, there are other Celtics boards on the internet. Enjoy your little holiday.

Space Yam will be the next Tony Parker. You heard it here first.
Good assessment:
PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

He releases the ball too quick for his own good sometimes.

I’m on the Yam bandwagon
Wish Ime would think outside the box, and give this kid a chance. He could very well be something good.

Re: NBA Summer League 2021 -- Aug. 8-17, Las Vegas
After 1 SL game I am totally convinced that Yam should be on a two way this year. Though I reserve the right to completely change my mind after the next SL game.
Seriously though I think a 2 way would be a great experience. He’d get the chance to play a lot more than in Boston behind Smart PP and Dunn, and learn our system. He seemed to have the most trouble with the physicality of the nba last night, so he will get used to that in the G league, and get used to the longer 3 pt line.
What happens after the 2 way ends? Does he become a FA or do we still have his rights?

Not saying it happens but FVV has always been a good comparison for him. He could have a golden pathway making catch and shoot jumpers off of the Jays.

Carson needs to play a lot of minutes to find his way. Unfortunately, in the NBA he needs to be a microwave off the bench. I think 3-4 years in Europe would make him a star over there and then he might be ready for a return .... if he wanted to. Hopefully, he can hold onto his roster spot long enough to be that guy for Celtics.
A lot of Cs fans here want to see him cut. I actually see the talent and I think he is a good guy. I want to see him succeed here in Boston and still believe he can. If it doesn’t, he can still have a solid career overseas.

I can see why you think so but one glaring difference is that Parker had elite speed. I don’t think Yam has the physical tools to be that good in NBA. I think the skill and energy is there but his body needs a lot of work. He is young so that maybe a year of NBA conditioning combined with his skill is enough for him to be a solid NBA player. Future HOFer? I just can’t buy into that hype.
