I'm delighted that Chauncey is interviewing elsewhere because he is not my first choice. I'd love the Blazers to hire both Chauncey and Pringles as co-head coaches.

Nate would be my first choice (aside from the zero shot choices like Pop) but it's a long shot with what's going on with the Hawks, they'd be crazy not to make him their top priority.

I would like Nate for this team. The question is, would Nate want to leave the Hawks for Boston? That's a 50/50 decision for him just because of the success he's had with that group.. I'd say Boston presents the better long-term situation for him. But Atlanta has a young star too that's competing hard in the semi's right now.

I'm more concerned over the fact I have no idea who our new head coach will be. I'm not as sold on Billups as apparently everyone else is.

A few roster adjustments and a healthy Jaylen and we are better than the Hawks

Its not exactly a secret that Billups will be in Portland. We obviously have a chance, but the fact that every national reporter links them means the chatter is strong behind the scenes.

That is going to be a money talks situation. If I am Nate McMillan I would be looking for at least 7-8mil for 5 years. If ATL comes with that then he will be staying in the ATL if they jerk him around he may take off.

Well Duncan got into it with Joey Crawford every year. Tim is no milquetoast who is afraid of being T-ed up.

I like McMillan too. His 3 C philosophy is refreshing. Keep it simple, don't overcomplicate everything. Play hard, play smart, and the rest will take care of its self. We know now that the players knew what was happening in the organization and it cost us the 4th seed which was are for the taking. I hope everything is all square or we won't be getting any top choice headcoach coming here. Also hope Stevens stays in his lane and doesn't re-enter the locker room scene.

I said that too sometime ago when I read he was coaching. The Admiral would be great too but he's on business career track now. Both are smart, professional and respected.

We certainly better but just the thought of the Celts doing this proves they think they're smarter than the actually are. The org can still screw things up if they play these games.

Interesting quote.
1 it shouldn't matter as you should want the best candidate regardless of ethnicity.
2 wonder if Stevens ethnicity was ever a thing.
2b I don't believe it was but who knows

100% we end up with an African American coach. Seems ironic to me to focus so much on skin color when picking a coach but might as well throw Jalen a bone. Plenty of good candidates to choose from.
