Re: Trade/Free Agency Thread, pt 6, 2023-24 – (6PM [ET], Fri, June 30)
We need a legit backup wing.
* I have NO faith in Hauser or Walsh to co teibute on a championship team
We need a legit bigman who can start 30 games if called on
*I have no faith in timelird/horford/kp being healthy for an entire year
Also I have little to no faith in pritchard despite Brad repeatedly calling him a highly talented player (I assume just trying to raise his value.
White/Brogdon...points are fine
Brown
Tatum
Wings need depth
Kp
Timelord
Horford
Frontcourt is glass.

Yes!!!
Wonder who Boston is interested in. Maybe Powell?
Maybe. If Brogdon is out they definitely need a guard, but I think Morris best fits their team's attitude need.
I just cant believe they had the balls to call back on Brogdon after the Celtics shipped out at least a much loved (internally) member of the team.

Michael Grange @michaelgrange
One agent I spoke with today said as many as 15 deals are already done, league wide. Could be busy at 6:01.

Though I've liked Brad's moves (other than head coach decision) sometimes he seems like he is running a fantasy team. Re-sign Grant and leave it alone.
White / Brogdon / Brown
Tatum / Grant / Zinger
Al / Rob
If (big if) healthy. - thats a title team.
Brogdon is good. Not sure why people want him moved.

Hopefully Brad has spotted the ocean at the top of the trail and is ready to deal...

Secondly, there's plenty of other backup guards we could acquire..
Gabe Vincent
Cole Anthony
Delon Wright
Vasilije Micic
Markelle Fultz
Jalen Suggs
Monte Morris
Patrick Beverley
Kyle Lowry
Alex Caruso
Dennis Smith Jr
Seth Curry
TJ McConnell
Jevon Carter
I believe in PP more than any of these guys to be our #3 PG ...he is undersized but has gotten alot better on D, his shooting is elite & always plays with his hair on fire.
It's easy for me to see PP have a nice little development jump in year 3
That's not what we're discussing.
We're talking about if we trade Brogdon, getting 1 of these guys to be our #2 PG.
That's great that you see Pritchard as a good #3 PG, but we would need a #2 PG if we traded Brogdon.
I see PP as more than just a good #3, I believe that he can even be a good to very good #2 we'll see if he can make a developmental leap here in yr 3, I am kind of expecting it
fingers crossed
but ya with Brogdon gone we will have to add another legit weapon
Drose is kinda interesting
whatever we do, I want PP to have a minimum of 15-20 mpg

Clippers calling saying “I know you were going to trade Brogdon for Zingers but how about a Morris brother?”

The San Diego Clippers are a joke. Harden is a perfect fit there. A bunch of overpaid divas. There's plenty of strip clubs out here too.
