I think Jrue for DeRozan could be interesting for savings, DeMar could be our tank commander lol.

Partially guaranteed last year.

Seen a lot of Kings fans who want to do that

Here's a stark article about the difficulties the Celtics are facing on the trade front this offseason. The best hope is that Brad n' Zarren's enormous brains will somehow find a way.

I’m glad my waive and stretch Porzingis idea was brought up in that article.

I just don’t see any team entertaining a trade for him.

We don't need Morant, he's extremely injury prone, thinks he's a "gangsta" while growing up rich in a gated community and acts crazy half of the time. I'd take Bane over Morant easily.
Good assessment:

Orlando and Atlanta I could definitely see entertaining it

We are very very lucky he's an expiring contract

They like Ja. But I’m thinking they like Ja with Jaylen and Tatum not by himself while waiting for Tatum. But I don’t have a ton of insight on it. I only repeated what I had heard.

I think this makes a lot of sense - this playoffs showed how desperately we need playmaking and athleticism, especially now in light of both Tatum and Brown's injuries. I also don't think a little villain energy would've hurt vs Orlando and how physical/borderline dirty they got.

Lots of questions and due diligence to do but maybe Joe could be the right type of psycho to do a bit of a factory reset on someone like Ja.

You're not gonna get huge value but there is some value in the fact he's expiring.

But he maybe one to try to bet on having a big year next year with possibly having more focus and touches in our offense. Unless he's completely washed

I’m not so sure Morant is a winning player. Grizzlies seem to do fine when he’s out. Not a great shooter. I really don’t want to invest a ton in a non center that can’t shoot.

He's been sick (now it's a breathing issue) since March and all the money in the world can't figure out why.

IMO, nobody touches that contract. I hope I'm wrong.

i’d rather have derrick white. unless this is a ploy that cuts significant money for other moves

Something to keep in mind, whether a team is over/under thresholds is calculated at end of the season.

We can hold on to Porzingis, rehab his value, and then reassess our options in February

I like Ja. I think if you put him in a situation with guys like Brad Stevens and Al Horford and Tatum they’re good character guys who Ja can learn from. I kind of get DJ vibes from him.

Morant has no reason to change. He’s guaranteed 127mil over the next 3 years.

When he’s broke in 5 years then he can change.

Marc Stein says:

1. Jrue more likely to be moved than Derrick

2. KP considered to be easiest to move because of his expiring

People need to stop making up excuses for Ja. He's had plenty of opportunities to learn from his mistakes. Hell Steven Adams held a players meeting in Memphis to urge him to be more professionnal on the road and the very next thing Ja does, is get suspended for waving a gun around a night club at 4am. Can't fix stupid.

Bobby Krivitsky‬

Brad Stevens will hold a press conference tomorrow. A chance to discuss the Celtics’ season and what’s to come for a franchise facing a great deal of uncertainty.
