Villanova or North Carolina winning tonight is better for the pick stash? Someone help me out on this one.

vs Chicago 5 april (50/50 odds) chicago desperate team

@ Dallas 8 april (50/50 odds) dallas desperate team
vs GSW 9 april (b2b) sure loss

@ LAC 12 april (if clippers are resting they have a chance)
vs GSW 13 april (b2b) sure loss .... (Unless GSW already broke the record and resting guys)

I want to say that at least we will get the better of Dallas/Memphis second, but that doesn't help much.

The Houston @ Dallas game Wednesday is huge, and it is really hard to rely on Houston.

Dallas has a tough schedule coming up and 3 of their last four wins were against pretty crappy competition. All five of their remaining games are against potential playoff teams. Too bad the Spurs and Clips are basically set in their seeding. Memphis is just brutal lately. They have lost 10 of their last 12.

Barea led Dallas outright in scoring in all four games during the week and led the team in assists in all four as well (including ties).

There you have it: our new public enemy #1. That's the man who single-handedly stole the 12th pick from us.

:P I don't know, but a Villanova win would be HUGE for us getting Durant!

With JJ Barea playing like Steve Nash, It hard to see Dallas missing the playoffs. Out of all the years, the Western Conference chose this year not to show up. Typical Celtics luck...

I would rather take the draft lottery odds and hope for a miracle than get annihilated by the Spurs or Warriors in four straight games.

Mike Conley out for the season. That's not good for the Dallas pick. Memphis might just slide out of those playoffs.

After all the focus we put on POR/HOU/UTA and DAL...in the end MEM will be the team going to loterry. Also if DAL losses HOU and UTA game what imo is very likely...winning against bench LAC, SAS and MEM gives them 42 wins....if MEM loses in DAL its over because they would also lose tiebreaker.

So the game of the season for DAL pick will be DAL:MEM.

It also is not good for our MEM future pick if MEM is in loterry because pick would go to denver and we would get it 2018...not 2019 we all expected...and off course, later the pick higher chance it will be worst imo.

Jao, jao MEM

^^^So I guess we really need to root for a MEM win tonight against CHI even though a CHI loss is not so great for the ultimate seeding of the Dallas pick either. Tough one to call. Oddsmakers have the CHI at MEM game as "EVEN," but I would think Chicago has a much greater motivation to win than Memphis does at this point. Well, maybe not if Memphis wants to keep its pick this year. Only protected 1-5 if they drop into the lottery.

A Suns win over Atlanta today could be the best thing going for the Celtics this year... unlikely but that would be so great.

... Memphis's collapse was inevitable with all their injuries. Not much we can do there, hopefully they eek out a win or two.

Well, who knows. They may implode sooner than later. If Conley signs elsewhere this off-season and their next season is a failure, they may face Gasol trade and rebuilding. Or could be really bad and miss play-offs already in 2018.

They will also be trade fodder this off season. I really don't see any of those guys being here long term

As the only JJ Barea stan in the history of RealGM I think its awesome if he is the guy who gets us to the playoffs. The irony is that Dirk has been dreadful during the streak and he was playing amazing in the stretch we went 2-8 right before this.

So I'm pretty high and was looking at the Pelicans score, thinking if it was good or bad that they were being blown out. First thought was no doesn't effect picks one way or another, however, moments later I thought oh no their guys are gonna be rested from sitting in the fourth.....but then I thought OH WAIT THEY DONT HAVE ANY GUYS HAHAHA

I found it comical

The Suns are going to make us get our hopes up just enough for our spirits to be crushed when they lose.

LOL yeah, the normal thought process doesn't apply to teams like Memphis or NOLA.

Memphis too. This would be a huge win for Memphis. Besides if our biggest concern is whether or Dallas is jumping over Chicago for the 12th or 13th spot, then we have already won.

In some ways, if we didn't have the Dallas pick, I might actually be rooting for Dallas because it is a lot easier to root for Dallas than it is to root for Houston.
