Brogdon can say whatever he wants to make himself feel better or to some rando fans but he knows deep down, and the team knows deep down especially after how they quit last night they're done.

Last night:

Tatum 6-18, 1-7 from 3, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 turnovers, -23 plus/minus
Brown 6-17, 0-7 from 3, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 turnovers, -25 plus/minus

Celtics RealGM the next day: It's all Brown's fault. Don't lump in Tatum.

Jaylen is easily the biggest reason they lost a winnable game 2. He's been atrocious. He has 28 points on 40 shots in two games. That is laughably bad.

I never said Brown has been good, he hasn't. Tatum shouldn't get a pass, not be "lumped in". Tatum has been horrible too.

It's getting worse lol. It's like my pasty white ass going out in the sun when summer hits for far too long thinking I won't get burned because "i'M gOoD eNoUgH" to avoid it. Then wondering why it didn't stop once I came indoors and it hurts even more the next day. This series the Heat are the sun (naturally) and the Celtics have been total buns as Jimmy so elegantly put it (also naturally).

Tatum is averaging 26/10/4 on 60% TS For the series. When he sits the team has a -18 net rating. If we wanna criticize him for not being vocal enough or not picking his spots that’s more than fair but he’s getting the entire kitchen sink thrown at him and getting nothing from anyone else.

He’s certainly not above criticism as he rightfully got killed for the finals last year and last night we needed better sure but the series as a whole? The furthest thing from our issue. The team is also +13 with brown on the bench.

That's more advice than Joe has handed out this entire series. The only difference is yours didn't come with a hug lol.

I saw blink-182 last night and those boys put in more effort at the garden than the Celtics do most nights there.

I think Smart actually thinks he's our best player. Apparently he also thinks he's our best coach.

The team's biggest problem is their soft mentality. All the whining and complaining they do when calls don't go their way is insufferable. And Tatum is the #1 culprit. They will never win anything operating like that. What's the point of quitting on plays because you didn't get a call, it's not like the refs are going to change the call. They need to learn to only focus on what they can control which is their effort.

The team in general carries themselves like they've won something and they haven't won anything. All the showboating and celebrating they do after good plays is over the top and they need to be more humble.

It's been a rollar coaster and I wish Boston would play with reckless abandon but dammit I'm not feeling this team this year and they keep me up all night with their bad play

I think only true blink fans will get all these references LOL

Boston and Philly teams have no competition in this area. When we hate our team, we hate our team, lol

I refrained from posting at all this season. Hated the Udoka nonsense and could forsee this Mazzulla business as being the death knell to a title...what a disaster.

Sadly wasn't wrong and it looks like the fears I had for years of Tatum and Brown crashing and burning has finally come to fruition.

Mazzulla needs to go immediately and Brad Stevens needs to follow him out the door, since it was his genius idea to give the reigns of this championship or bust squad over to a 34-year-old clueless malcontent with no feel for the game whatsoever.

Grousbeck, Pagliugica and the entire ownership brass is another point of contention. I'd love to call for them to sell this team, but there's obviously no basis in reality that would ever happen. But seriously, save for one single season 15 years ago, Grousbeck and his cronies have completely tanked the meaning and prestige behind "Celtic Pride".

I’m really not sure what Brad is supposed to do just days before training camp. You aren’t bringing a brand new coaching staff in two days before camp with a Finals team, you just aren’t.

Brad should had added some assistant coaches to the staff, though.

Unless there was a head coach out there willing to come in and not have a say in the staff, which I doubt. You can’t bring in 6-7 new coaches which usually happens when you flip the head coach for a brand new one.

The real blame will always and should always be on Ime. He screwed up the situation and deserves most of the blame. He put everyone in an incredibly difficult position. I will say, if the Celtics even had a hint of what was going on earlier, the decision should had been made earlier so that you could revamp the staff. I have no idea why it took until literal days before camp.

Well first off, Damon Stoudemire was also on the staff and was passed up for an end of the bench 34-year-old ballboy assistant.

Secondly, Brad could've stepped down and coached the team himself until a replacement was found. Someone like his buddy Frank Vogel who sat on his ass and did nothing all season.

Pat Riley, the guy who's in Stevens shoes for the team we're currently down 3-0 to, once did that... It's what leaders do.

Where they erred was by convincing themselves that Tatum and Brown were all-world, when they were not. And when Tatum and Brown started believing it themselves, it got worse. Pride goeth before a fall.

It’s on Joe. How can u go from 2nd best defence last year to this ****? The first quarter of this season we played unbelievable was probably from motivation on last season disappointment and a carry on from how we knew to play from last season.
It has all been undone. Something must be wrong with their training to lose the ability to play like a team, to lose their sharpness on defence. The easy excuse is to blame it on effort. Training brings in habits good and bad.
I can see why Brad hired the head coach internally. Joe is a rookie head coach but he is familiar with the players. He thought a new head coach might disrupt the path this team was ascending by changing things too much.
That makes sense but the team has lost their way now. It’s a shame Hardy had already left. Maybe Stoudemire could’ve been better. Who knows?
In the end, analytics isn’t going get it done. That’s what assistant coaches are for. We need a head coach to train these guys hard. Turn them back into a well oiled machine.
