Jaylen Brown is actually worse at moving without the ball than dribbling it, and he can't break down the defense with the dribble. Every "attack" he goes hard to right, slowly crosses over to the left, and if he doesn't lose the ball in the transfer, just stops at the nail either for a contested jumper or to pass it back out.

Smart is a lethal secondary passer. Like when he drives on a close out then tosses up a lob.

We need a point guard and run for a bit with Smart at sg. Can sub him for offense with White if needed and trade him later in the season.

Smart at SG kills our shooting. He's a 33% three point shooter and sub 80 FT shooter. We will miss his connective passing but the added shooting will make up for the lost offense.

That is fair, I still wouldnt immediately deal him. Maybe bring him off the bench as a super 6th man type roll (assuming brown for #3 and Simons)

That's like $80 mil. committed to the 96 back court minutes. We need to turn some of that $80 mil. to front court help.

JB is getting killed by the media right now.

It's our coaches fault that he made him the ballhandler and kept pounding the rock with JB as the main distributor. Joe should've protected him after a few turnovers. We had White who can handle the ball as well or else Smart who can make good passes as well.

This team really needs a ballhandler or else this team will go nowhere. No knock on Smart, but we need a point guard who can dribble and drive. I'm getting sick to see this team each and every postseason getting killed by the zone.

Kind of sucks we weren’t given a chance in game 7 with Tatums ankle sprain. Miami lucked out with that and the Giannis injury. But that’s what we get for screwing around the first 3 games as one sprained ankle we were done. All Miami had to do was catch a break and they got it. Probably needed to happen. Just to shake things up and change some things around.

A lot of talk about JT and JB and JB is rightfully getting criticism, but ultimately the main difference was when Butler and Bam were having poor games, their supporting cast stepped up and were killing us.

We didn’t get anything consistent from our role players.

Style of play.

They move a lot, screen for each other, move the ball, have misdirection plays, etc.

We stand around and watch the ball.

but but but we had the deepest team in the league...

Brad and Joe should get most of the blame for constructing the wrong team for their philosophy and for being stubborn to play a style that expose our players

Definitely plays a part. If we want to play with this style then we need a desperate upgrade in the shooting department as we seem to refuse to create any plays for easy looks.

This team is pretty much useless if Tatum isn't affecting the game in some kind of major way.

No. it's useless when it turns the ball over on every other possession and doesn't play defense. Was last night's result a surprise to anyone who watched the team all year? We've seen this script before. We saw it as recently as game 3 of the Miami series.

Everyone calling for Tatum 1st teamer, MVP, superstar, should feel duly chastened. He's a #2 on a championship team at best.

I would assume a #3 and Brogdon for a PF and backup SF deal as a followup (Siakam?, Markannen?) or even a lesser target (Eason)

Last nite JB had the highest bbiq on the team. He attempted to do the right thing. Take it inside when the 3 wasn't working. That was smart and correct. This team is so friggin 3ball happy I watched a few times guys in the paint passing OUT to the 3pt line. Especially Horford I remember doing it. You gotta take it strong to the hole and get blocked or fouled.

If he’s a #2 how many #1 type players in the league are there? 2 wins away from a ‘ship last year. I think it’s safer to say Tatum is a #1 and Brown a #3 if anything.

Brown > Portland

Brogdon and Kornet to Pelicans for Valanciunas, Marshall and Tre Murphy

Still have pick #3 and now a 12 million TPE
Dont pick up Muscala option

Simons/Pritchard/Davidson
Smart/White/Begarin
Tatum/Marshall/Hauser
Murphy/Horford/Gallo
Timelord/Jonas/Kabengele

Elite defense, Elite hustle, Gret role players, great shooting, passing, ball handling.

Someone smarter and tougher. This guy is weak mentally and weak physically. Trade him for some decent value since so many short attention span gamer types that learned basketball from videogames love him. Ainge would've snookered somebody by now maybe with a twofer. Or threefer. Or guarenteed picks.

What game did you watch? He was 2/9 from 3 (jacking up with 20 secs on the clock like he was on a heater) and had at least 6 turnovers trying to “take it inside” (without a plan or handles). He attempted two FTs.

Anyway, you lost everyone with the highest bbiq and do the right thing comment.
