I wouldn’t be surprised if the Celtics were in on Siakam, just a guess

Meh. I'm more interested in Aaron Holiday if they decide to trade Pritchard.

You could fill a lot of holes by trading Jaylen. Jus’ saying

Reminds me of Bruins trading Seguin. Trade a quarter for 3 dimes. Then throw away the dimes because, hey, they're only dimes.

Brogdon + Grant S & T would equal Harden's salary almost perfectly. Just saying

Brogdon averaged like 18/6/5 3 years in row lol pass first PG is the most overrated thing in the entire NBA..

I don't remember this many guys that can play rotational minutes being available for the minimum. I'm not even talking about young guys looking for a 2nd chance (Reddish, Hayes) or washed up emergency backup vets (Zeller, Beverley, DeAndre Jordan, Alex Len).

I'm talking about guys like Gordon, Richardson, Eubanks, Bates-Diop, Bryant, Walker IV. All of these guys should be getting 5M+ , at least tax MLE or BAE if they're not worth cap space.

One reason is that for guys with 10y+ of experience (like Gordon), difference between minimum ($3.1M) and tax MLE ($5M) is negligible.

The Seguin return has to be one of the crappiest returns ever for a “star” player in the NHL.

Since they've only signed Brissett, it makes me wonder if there's a 1 for 2 trade in Boston's future.

Denver is gonna be good, but they added trash to their bench. Lost Brown and Green, who were part of their TOP 8.

Brought back Jordan for the min (washed up, but I guess fine for the vibes).

Gave tax MLE to washed up Jackson (with player option on year 2). Added washed up Holiday who couldn't break into rotation for the Hawks or the Mavs last season. So many solid guys available for the min, they brought 3 guys that will give them nothing.

It’s crazy how much taxes we have to pay in the US & there are always people demanding we pay more… Sorry Bernie, people are paying their fair share, if not more…

Are you making 40m+ per year? Then why tf are you crying?

Philly's asking price for Harden is "extremely high" and the 76ers are prepared to wait for the most advantageous deal to accommodate Harden's trade request, per @wojespn.

This guy is on an expiring (Dame signed to 3 more years) and can sit his fat ass out (Dame won't). Blazers stance should at least mirror this. Don't give in. Get the best possible return.

It's not crazy and rich people are not close to paying fairly into the system in the US. Nowhere close.

I'll never understand the desire to take a grenade for the 1%. It's like people lose their ability to reason with 7-figure numbers.

That's a super weird perspective. I don't want anyone to pay any income tax. How is that taking a grenade for super rich people? Losing 50% of your income to taxes is BS. Especially when our government isn't even capable of managing a McDonalds

I think it should be noted - the escrow is paid to players at the end of the season I believe if the NBA hits a revenue target

That's why we moved to Texas. It's been tremendous. Much healthier way to live :)

What a wild mindset. How much of Haliburton's contract do you believe Washington is entitled to? Taxation implies ownership. Does the government own our labor?

Please avoid political derailing, thx.

I've never heard of that before. I remember KG talking about how ownership holds a % of the contract. Wonder how many times (aside from the COVID years) that it hasn't been paid out

White/Brown/Tatum/Porzingis/Williams
Pritchard/Brogdon/Hauser/?/Horford
Davison*/Champagnie*/Walsh*/Brissett/Kornet*

Not sure. IMO, the roster is pretty much set with 10 guys on guaranteed deals. Walsh should get standard deal and 11th spot. Kornet and Champagnie are on non-guaranteed deals. My guess is that Davison is gonna get a standard deal as a 3rd string PG

So that leaves one more rotational player to be signed. Either Grant, a player via Grant sign and trade or tax MLE guy. That's my best guess.

Return to Boston Celtics
